Logan POV Logan was waiting outside the hospital room while the doctor examined Morgan. His beta was pacing back and forth in front of the door, growling the whole time. His phone chimed for the tenth time. Emma was worried about Morgan, she tried to come but he wouldn’t let her, which pissed her off. Logan POV Logan was sitting in his office, Emma sitting in a chair beside him. Her parents and brother walk through the door. Emma jumped up and ran and gave them each a hug. “Oh, Emma, how are you doing?” her mother asked. “I am doing much better.” Emma told her. “Emma, hunny, I am so sorry. I didn’t know that Dylan trying to change before would hurt you, much less kill you.” her father said. “I know Dad, its ok. Logan POV It was late when Logan headed up to bed. He opened the door quietly in case Emma was sleeping. He didn’t want to wake her. He closed the door softly behind him. The television was still on, Emma was snoring. He had found her like this almost every night. He went to the bathroom and pulled of his clothes. He took a quick shower and grabbed the towel and dried off. He hung the towel up and walked into the bedroom, and all his glory just hanging out. Too bad doc said that those activities were still off limits for now. He grabbed a pair of shorts from the dresser and slipped them on. He went over to the bar and grabbed a glass and poured some whiskey into it. He took a drink as he walked over to the bed then sat the glass down on the bedside table. He pulled back the blankets and crawled in bed. Emma groaned and pressed herself closer to him. He put his arms around her and pulled her closer, he buried his face in her hair. He loved the way she smelled, the citrus and rain.

Logan POV It was late when Logan headed up to bed. He opened the door quietly in case Emma was sleeping. He didn’t want to wake her. He closed the door softly behind him. Logan POV Logan, Nathan, Lane, Adam, Marcus, and Paul all sat in Logan’s office. He called them all here so they could try to figure out what their next move was going to be. So far, they had nothing. “Look, just in case Nathan and Lane are right, and this is some kind of power play and they are going to try to take over our pack, we need to start training more guards. Alpha David and I have an alliance treaty. The treaty also states that any alliance he holds with any other pack, will also be an ally for us as well. He has alliance treaties with the Blood River pack, and the Red Moon pack. And our alliance with the Black Night pack still stands as well. The other three packs all remain neutral. Logan POV A few hours later, Logan was covered in sweat and laying on his back on the ground. He couldn’t move. There was no part of his body that wasn’t hurt or bruised. He was more out of shape than he thought. He laid there for a few minutes before Adam came walking up and sat down on the ground beside him. “Dude, you are worse than I thought. What have you been doing with yourself?” Adam asked laughing. “Sitting behind that desk and not working out. I didn’t even think I had let myself go this bad.” he replied. “Yep, it’s that bad. Emma POV Everyone was rushing around trying to get the dining room ready. Emma and Patricia already had most of the food done, they just needed a few ingredients to finish the rest. Patricia was pulling out the last two pies out of the oven and sitting them on the counter to cool while Emma was putting the icebox pie in the refrigerator to cool. They looked around the kitchen at their handiwork. Food was piled everywhere, not a single open space remained on the counters, island, or table. As they finished cooking, Vicki would put the food on serving trays and put the pots and pans in the dishwasher. Emma went out to the dining room to check on the progress, she was amazed at how quickly everything was coming together in such a short time. Emma POV Emma breathed in the evening air and felt a sense of calm wash over her. She had decided that she would just take a short walk to clear her mind and calm her emotions. She didn’t know how far she had walked, but she wasn’t ready to turn back. She felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. It was Logan. She pressed the power button and turned off the screen. She kept walking. She had walked so far, she didn’t even know where she was. She came up on the fence that surrounded the city. She turned left and walked along the fence. She wasn’t sure where she was, but she knew how to get to Logan’s house from the main gate. She felt her phone vibrate again. It was a message this time from Logan. Where are you?
