“AMERICA”

MEREDITH’S POV:

I held the phone in my hand, listening to the roaring growl and then a shattering window. My heart broke because I knew he had lost control and had shifted into his wolf. I had witnessed it many times here. American or Scott, it didn’t matter, the instincts of the wolves were all too similar. It took a few minutes before another deep resounding voice picked up the phone, that I am sure had been dropped during the shift.

“Hello?” the voice questioned cautiously. “Who is this?” I could clearly hear the skepticism over the phone line, witnessing the rage of his Alpha and the shift without explanation often bewilders and concerns pack members.

“My name is Meredith; I am Bridgette’s best friend in Scotland.” I answered plainly, I couldn’t help but feel for this wolf, I knew he was confused.
