“MARKED SEDUCTION”

EMILY’S POV:

I couldn’t help but feel confused by the reaction I saw in my mate. He appeared to be upset, alarmed by something although I couldn’t tell what. The look of his face said it all, he was losing more of his mind. His strong jawline twitched, I stared at his handsome face taking in every line, his grayish blue eyes down to his characteristic blonde handlebar mustache look turbulently ahead, staring blankly at me.

It broke my heart, this once good man was falling and second chance mate or not, there was nothing I was going to do to stop his downward spiral. The death of his father had, in part increased his madness, and yet in other ways had realigned his reality. Since his father’s death, I had noticed he was much kinder, less ridged, yet much more anxious and reactive. Anxiety and reaction were nothing one wanted to witness in an Alpha. It was making him more unstable.
