Chapter 7

I hugged my pillow while earlier tossing lying down here on my bed, the window curtain closed here in my bedroom but there was still a little shining light from the stars.

I couldn’t sleep, what was on my mind was Clarkson’s mysterious personality. Earlier before I lay down here in my bed I first thought of opening my computer to search his f******k account, but nothing came up, no matter what kind of social media he did not have.

It's also a big puzzle to me why he doesn't use a surname 'even though it's necessary not just to study. He was different to me and the more I looked at him, the more motivated I became to get closer to him and to know the questions that were troubling my mind.

I was about to close my eyes but that didn't work out as I had a transparent human shadow from the side of the window.  From under my pillow I quickly picked up the knife hidden in it, put on my slippers and slowly walked closer to the young man here in my bedroom.

"I know there's someone there, get out!"  The surroundings remained quiet, my forehead furrowed and I quickly pulled back the curtain, I peeked on both sides but there was no one there, I was even surprised when a black cat suddenly appeared in front of me.

I wiped my face and closed the window, sat down on the edge of my bed and hid the knife I was holding under my bed again.  I stared at the picture frame on top of the small table on the side of my bed where the picture was when our family was still complete, at the same time as the predominance of howl coming from a dog in the neighbor.

The next day when I arrived at the University I found Clarkson in the locker with Clarendon who was the first person he went to on the first day of school and the two men who I also saw talking to Clarkson.

"There's still no news we sent as an observer."  My eyes narrowed at what I heard, I wondered who or what they were talking about, they were just stunned when a man looked at me followed by Clarkson's cold but deep look that was now  the sleeves of the dress were long again.

 "Hi, boys!"

"Hey, Ms. pretty!"  Greetings from two men whose names I still don't know.

"Let's talk later," Clarkson said, and the two men laughed.

"It's easy, master! Can't we introduce ourselves to the woman who—"

"Go then."  Clarkson frowned as he said immediately.

 "Hi, I'm Juno."

"And I'm Julo," they introduce.  I smiled at them and nodded.

 "Nice meeting you too! I'm—"

"Yeah, Luna. We know you."  My eyes narrowed at them, I even pointed to myself.

"Really? You know me?"  They both nodded at me.

"How?"  I asked them again, the three of them now looked at Clarkson who soon turned his back on us all while rubbing his jeans.

"Wait! By the way, good morning!"  I greeted him as from my run I chased him.

"Are Julo and Juno your friends, like Clarendon?"  He only nodded in response to me.

"How could they have met me. Ah-huh! Did you tell them stories about me?"  He stopped his walk so so did I.

"No," he replied simply, I didn't even realize that he was gradually getting caught up in walking, it seemed like he was stepping fast so in the end he got to our classroom even earlier.

Now is our vacant time, I'm here on the very second floor of our library and I've been going back and forth to different lines of bookshelves.  I stopped when I touched a rough cover of the book that is also old and if you look closely you seem to be afraid to read because of its dark color and the seemingly creeping roots of its design.

Even so, I became curious so I took it slowly, it wasn't easy to pull out because it was really crammed into the end of the bookshelf.  After I got it I pulled out a chair and sat in front of the table near it by the window.

"Deceptive," I read in the written title of the book, I opened it in turn and what popped up to me was a picture of a large creature that was half human and wolf, its body full of feathers.

“He has no death, to this day he is still alive, trying to save the woman he first loved and wants to be with for life,” I read here.  There was some spark that flowed through my being.  I wasted no more time and I opened the book, but my torn eyebrows met its pages, even if I looked over and over I could not read anything, until I got to the back of the book and there was  I noticed a very small letter.

"Werejonalle," I read poorly and I stared out the window where raindrops were slowly falling from the formerly dark sky.  I looked around, when I saw that some of the students who were also here were almost in his world, so I secretly hid the book in the bag I was carrying.

I knew there was something wrong with how I was feeling, as soon as I caressed this book I could no longer fathom that feeling, it seemed to be related to the creatures I was looking for.  Also the only word I saw and read here was written differently, in my mind it was special someone who owns it.

I would have looked for a book to read again, but I was stopped by looking out the window again to see a man sheltering in a large tree as it seemed to be looking at me.  When he smiled my heart pounded as I realized he was the werewolf I had encountered.
