"I don't want to hear any fucking excuses," Nate barked, his voice cutting through the room and silencing everyone instantly. “You had a month, and you still haven’t met the target.” The employees exchanged wary glances with each other before lowering their heads.

"We apologise for the delay," the team leader apologised, even though it wasn't their fault. The response was awaited from the other side.

“Save your apologies. They’re worthless to me," he snapped, clenching his fists. He was tempted to sever their head. For the past few days, the urge to commit violence had grown dangerously strong within him. Even the smallest mistake from another person was enough for him to lash out at them.

"Work on it. Leave," Dave instructed the employees, sparing the employees from further lashing at Nate’s hands. Without a second thought, they filed out of the boardroom, moving as if their very lives depended on it.

With a sigh, Dave turned towards Nate.
