Lia's POV The buzz of alarm wakes me from my deep slumber. I blink a couple of times to adjust the sunlight from the terrace into my room. The day is bright, and I don't want to waste in bed. Luc's POV I cannot stop shaking with anger. How dare she? I have started believing in her, and she has shown her true colors. I am an idiot to believe in another girl. I should not have included her in such a crucial negotiation. My concentration is not entirely in the meeting, and I left the discussion with the rest of the team. Luc's POV The tables are arranged in circles. I am seated at the prime table with Lia on my right and James on my Left. Lia's POV I stare into the screen saver displaying Alastair Corporation's logo. As if the monitor is tossing it across space like a ball. Not that it is the exciting thing in the world to look at. But my thoughts are too chaotic to do any work. It is only two months since we got married. But it seems like years. What an exciting time frame. And I haven't thought about the ball this Saturday. I am not a person who buys a new dress for every occasion. I suppose it is normal to feel like that. Why should I have to buy a dress for every new event? I will use one of my evening dresses in the wardrobe. I shake my head at the thoughts. Why am I thinking about the dress when we have more pressing matters in hand? We have a meeting planned with Stephanos and David on the contract at 11:00 am.
