Willow POV It took me 3 days to wake up after the rogue attack. On day 5 I wasn’t feeling as weak and my appetite was returning. I remained in the medical centre and Samantha stayed close as her father is Dr Gibson. She had been helping him out all summer and I must say she was doing a great job. She cleaned my wounds a couple of times a day and replaced the bandages. Mum and Dad constantly popped in and so did Louis. Willow POV 1 year laterThe last year has been shit, and that is putting it lightly. The rogue attacks have been more frequent and every time we feel like we are getting somewhere, they change tactics. They are pestering the other packs in our area but not as much as us. Why? What did they want? I deferred university! My parents were disappointed, and Lizzie and Samantha begged for me to go with them, but I couldn’t. I can’t explain it, but I had a sense I needed to stay here. Thomas had been a god send. We have been looking into the rogues and I’ve been freeing him up for scout missions by doing the paper-based research. Louis had told me about the symbols on my wolf’s fur, but no one seemed to have experienced anything like this before. From the pictures Louis has drawn of the markings my research led me to think they belong to the old Celtic language. There had been a few comments and not wanting to make a big deal of it for now, I didn’t take part in pack runs or pack training.

Willow POV Nothing! Thomas and the team found nothing. I had a weird feeling that the rogues were trying to divert our eyes in one direction, so they could go under radar somewhere else. I’m absolutely exhausted! I’m in Dad’s office going through his paperwork for any leads. I also process some necessary pack payments that he had left to the last minute. I felt guilty that I had been in the capital with her supporting her at university, I just couldn’t stay away from her. Willow POVWe have returned back home and I am sitting in the front room while Jeremy is pacing the floor in the hallway. Mum and Dad start to come down the stairs with a bleary-eyed Louis. Thomas and Zack are standing behind me by the sofa. “What on earth has happened for your father to be woken up from his bed and brought downstairs?” Mum angrily asks, helping Dad walk down the stairs. Brett POV Jeremy hadn’t called me back yet since I phoned him last night. It was now after lunch and I decided to pack a bag for a few days to go visit him. Chapter 25Willow POV It’s the day after and I could barely sleep last night I had a weird dream about Brett again and being attacked in some woods. I often dreamt of Brett so didn’t think anything of it. The tiredness hasn’t improved my mood and I haven’t left my room. Mum has brought me up some food and tries to calm me down, but I feel so trapped. Even Lizzie isn’t mine anymore! My brother has engulfed that relationship, I can’t go anywhere without a shadow, he has just stripped me of all my pack management duties and someone who I thought was a close friend was just following orders.
