Zack POV I watch as Beta Thomas quickly follows Willow out of the restaurant. Without our Beta on site, I need to ensure our men are fully attentive to security detail. I put my full attention back onto the Alpha Family at the table. Alpha Nicholas, who is usually of a calm nature, is glaring at Alpha Jeremy.“That was a bit much son.”Louis scoffs.“What?” Jeremy sharply asks him. “He can’t seem to leave her alone!” He says flatly. “He is stationed to protect her Louis, by my order. He can’t and will not leave her alone!” Alpha Nicholas responds his Alpha aura rolling off him. Luna Eve places her hand on her mate’s arm to calm him down.“Willow will be fine with Thomas. Jeremy, you owe her an apology! But for now, let’s enjoy the meal and our Luna’s birthday.” She sweetly adds looking at Lizzie and engaging in conversation with her parents once more.Alpha Nicholas stands up and pulls his mobile out from his pocket. He makes a call and places the phone to his ear.“Willow darling,
Willow POV It took me 3 days to wake up after the rogue attack. On day 5 I wasn’t feeling as weak and my appetite was returning. I remained in the medical centre and Samantha stayed close as her father is Dr Gibson. She had been helping him out all summer and I must say she was doing a great job. She cleaned my wounds a couple of times a day and replaced the bandages. Mum and Dad constantly popped in and so did Louis. Jeremy hadn’t been in yet and neither had Lizzie which hurt, but no doubt he was keeping her busy. I put my lunch down on the bed tray and slowly stand up from off the bed. I felt so disgusting, I needed a hot shower but needed to see how long my legs could stand for. I push myself off the bed with a wobble and start to walk over to the ensuite shower room. Nope, my legs are like jelly! I start to fall but before I hit the floor, I feel a strong pair of arms catch me. His familiar scent is comforting and I turn to look at him.“Thank you, Thomas, but I need to try.” “I
Willow POV 1 year laterThe last year has been shit, and that is putting it lightly. The rogue attacks have been more frequent and every time we feel like we are getting somewhere, they change tactics. They are pestering the other packs in our area but not as much as us. Why? What did they want? I deferred university! My parents were disappointed, and Lizzie and Samantha begged for me to go with them, but I couldn’t. I can’t explain it, but I had a sense I needed to stay here. Thomas had been a god send. We have been looking into the rogues and I’ve been freeing him up for scout missions by doing the paper-based research. Louis had told me about the symbols on my wolf’s fur, but no one seemed to have experienced anything like this before. From the pictures Louis has drawn of the markings my research led me to think they belong to the old Celtic language. There had been a few comments and not wanting to make a big deal of it for now, I didn’t take part in pack runs or pack training.
Willow POV Nothing! Thomas and the team found nothing. I had a weird feeling that the rogues were trying to divert our eyes in one direction, so they could go under radar somewhere else. I’m absolutely exhausted! I’m in Dad’s office going through his paperwork for any leads. I also process some necessary pack payments that he had left to the last minute. The medical team had made Mum a sleeping draught out of herbs to help her nerves. She was beside herself with worry and struggled to leave Dad’s side. I hear a knock on the door and look up as Zack walks in.“Princess Willow, the doctor would like to see you!” He takes in my dishevelled hair and exhausted appearance. I stand up and lead us out of the room. We walk to the pack medical centre and I meet Doctor Gibson outside Dad’s room.“Miss Willow thank you for coming.” Doctor Gibson greets me. Zack stands behind me and Thomas no doubt having been mind-linked by the Delta, walks toward us. The doctor ushers us into the privacy of hi
Jeremy POV Lizzie was perfect! I can’t believe the moon Goddess blessed me with such a sexy, beautiful and intelligent mate. I felt guilty that I had been in the capital with her supporting her at university, I just couldn’t stay away from her. Yet the pack tried to ease my guilt and even though I hadn’t spoken to Dad for a while, Willow had told me everything was fine. Boring in fact and to enjoy the time bonding with Lizzie. I owed my sister a lot. She had been helping Dad with the running of the pack, but also processing the daily administration for our side businesses. Lizzie and Samantha were missing her and I could now sense that Willow formed the foundation of their group.Willow was adamant that she was learning a lot at home and wanted to support Lizzie and me going forward. She had even implemented new security technology that seemed to be working wonders by assisting our warriors when they were out of the pack mind-link range. Louis and Mum were being quiet, but too be hone
Willow POVWe have returned back home and I am sitting in the front room while Jeremy is pacing the floor in the hallway. Mum and Dad start to come down the stairs with a bleary-eyed Louis. Thomas and Zack are standing behind me by the sofa. “What on earth has happened for your father to be woken up from his bed and brought downstairs?” Mum angrily asks, helping Dad walk down the stairs. Jeremy looking at Dad’s current state doesn’t reply. Clearly too shocked by the comparison of the father he saw a few weeks ago. “Jeremy son, we weren’t expecting you back so soon. Is everything ok with Lizzie?” Dad kindly comments. Jeremy looks at me and I frown. I know he is angry at me, but this is the exact reason I didn’t tell him. He won’t leave now, he can’t. Even without his ceremony he has now officially become the new Alpha. I wanted them to have more time together. “I’m sorry to wake you Mum and Dad. I think I deserve a few explanations as to why Willow is carrying out pack decisions and
A wolf in sheep’s clothing Alpha Ash POVI’ve worked really hard trying to get Willow on side. I don’t do patient and I was starting to really lose it. We needed access to their lands. The rogue attacks I orchestrated were working a treat. All the local packs were becoming flustered and I was chipping away at their defences, albeit slowly. I was becoming a strong ally. I needed less eyes on the upcoming deliveries and the Johnson pack lands would cut out the main roads.Growing up I hated Jeremy, Brett and their group of mates. I still do! So, suggesting marriage to Willow would not only solve the delivery issue, but also, I’d have power over the Johnsons in the form of having their princess as my bitch. They’d never be able to say no to me. I also knew it would infuriate Jeremy which brought me extra joy. Surprisingly my wolf was starting to like Willow and she was incredibly attractive, I’d certainly have fun keeping her in my bed. I was pretty certain Brett was Willow’s fated mate
Brett POV Jeremy hadn’t called me back yet since I phoned him last night. It was now after lunch and I decided to pack a bag for a few days to go visit him. I hadn’t seen Mother and Father in a while either and it would be a good opportunity to update them with news from the North. Alicia was starting to annoy me. She wanted commitment, she wanted me to mark her. She was adamant that she didn’t want her fated mate and I knew her beta father well enough that he would encourage her to take me as a chosen mate, over a fated one. The problem was that my wolf and I didn’t feel a strong connection to her. Sure, we had a sexual relationship, but I never felt fully satisfied and I wasn’t possessive over her like I was with...Willow! Ah just thinking about her puts my wolf on edge. Every time I thought I got close to going back south, a rogue attack occurred, and I had to stay and assemble the men. My trip today was unplanned and I won’t be telling anyone! I was suspicious of the level of r
