Chapter 18

Willow POV

It took me 3 days to wake up after the rogue attack. On day 5 I wasn’t feeling as weak and my appetite was returning. I remained in the medical centre and Samantha stayed close as her father is Dr Gibson. She had been helping him out all summer and I must say she was doing a great job. She cleaned my wounds a couple of times a day and replaced the bandages. Mum and Dad constantly popped in and so did Louis. Jeremy hadn’t been in yet and neither had Lizzie which hurt, but no doubt he was keeping her busy.

I put my lunch down on the bed tray and slowly stand up from off the bed. I felt so disgusting, I needed a hot shower but needed to see how long my legs could stand for. I push myself off the bed with a wobble and start to walk over to the ensuite shower room. Nope, my legs are like jelly! I start to fall but before I hit the floor, I feel a strong pair of arms catch me. His familiar scent is comforting and I turn to look at him.

“Thank you, Thomas, but I need to try.”
