Chapter 18

3 years earlier

I finally make it home from another tiring day of school, I was exhausted. But at least it’s Friday. With graduation less than a month away, the stakes were high for me. I may have managed to get good grades all year long, but the SAT’s tomorrow were going to be my make-it or break-it point. It all comes down to whether I pass with a high score which will get me accepted to any of the universities that I applied for. But if I didn’t do well, then it would make it harder for me to get into any of them.

I’ve studied so hard for this, I was all tired out and in need of some time away from homework and studying. But as much as I wanted to do that, I just couldn’t. And like clockwork, it was time for me to clean the house.

From the living room to the kitchen, from sweeping up every dust particle, to washing every last one of the dishes. The house remained spotless for another day.
