Miracle's POV

I stared at my step-sister and only then I noticed the glow she had. She also gained a little weight.

"And I'm guessing she gave you what I can't?"

"Yes." Mark proudly said and hugged Blair in front of me. I did not miss the way she smirked at me when she thought no one else could see.

I was calm on the outside, but I was breaking all over again inside. I was a screaming mess and it's taking everything in me not to break down in front of them. My hands started shaking and my eyes brimming with tears.

My eyes shifted to my so-called father who is just letting Mark insult his own daughter in front of him. But then again, he always favored Blair over me. Ever since she came to this house, she became the princess. His favorite child. She was the good and smart daughter while I was the worthless one.

"I didn't expect you to be the father of the year, Dad, you never were, but you could have at least told me about me if you knew," I started, my voice breaking. "Three years. I wasted three years married to a man fūcking your own step-daughter. Me, Dad, your own blood! You should be on my side and not theirs!" I exclaimed in tears but still remained standing.

"Stop being dramatic, Miracle. A man's honor is a child and you can't give him that so he went looking somewhere else. I don't see anything wrong with that. The divorce papers are in your hand. You can free yourself now and everyone can be happy."

I gasped softly at his words that felt like knives embedding into my skin, tearing my skin and making me bleed out the blood I share with him on the floor.

I can't believe those words came from the very man who made me.

"And you call yourself a father? God, what did I expect from you anyway?" I barked out a laugh and started signing the papers one by one, hearing Blair cry out in happiness and her mother hugging her.

"We're free now, Mother." Blair cried dramatically and I looked at them in repulsion. Are these really the people I lived with for so many years?

Even my father has a proud smile on his face while looking at Mark and Blair. My stomach churned and I wanted to vomit everything I ate.

"Congratulations to you all. I hope you all rot in hell." I said coldly and took a step towards the stairs when Mark blocked my way. "What are you doing?"

"Did we forget to mention that from now on, you no longer have the right to live here?" He asked with a smug look on his face and I looked at Dad.

"You are letting these people kick out your real family?" I exclaimed in disbelief.

"What real family, Mira? We are his real family." Delilah interrupted, wrapping her manicured hand around my father who smiled at her words.

I clenched my fists, crumpling the papers. "You are a coward. You both are cowards!"

I gasped when I felt a sting on my cheek and I glared at Mark, holding my hurt cheek.

"Hon, stop." I heard Blair say in feign sympathy, but I knew she was the one celebrating the most.

I let the hand holding the papers fly to his face and watched the divorce papers slowly fall to the ground.

"You ungrateful jerk. You wouldn't be wearing those expensive suits if it weren't for me. I picked you up from the street when you were no one and you have the nerve to hurt me?!"

Blair appeared in front of Mark to touch his face and hugged him before turning to me.  "Just leave, Mira, please. We just want to be happy. Mark and I are in love, can't you see? I know you will find the right man for you someday."

"Stop pretending you care! And I am not leaving without my things and my mother!"

Blair stepped closer to me and whispered, "What do you mean yours, sister? Your father disowned you, your husband divorced you. Nothing here is yours. Your things, your money, your car, your family, they are all mine now." She taunted me in a voice that only I could hear.

I pushed her away from me, but the drama queen made it look more dramatic and she fell to the ground. Mark, my father and Delilah were on her in a second, and they all glared at me.

"You evil witch! Blair has always been so kind to you!" Delilah screamed at me, and I couldn't help but feel nervous when Blair was clutching her stomach with pain evident on her face.

Mark pointed his finger at me. "If something happens to her and our child, I will never forgive you!"

I breathed heavily and I was about to walk past them when I heard voices behind me and when I turned around, I saw cops entering the house.

"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. We are here to make an arrest. Is Mrs. Miracle Reeve here?"

I stepped back and automatically defended myself. "I didn't do anything wrong! What do you mean you're arresting me officers? On what ground?"

The officers walked closer to me and showed me the warrant they have. "You are under arrest for theft."

"You filed a case against me?!" I asked my father who's standing with his other family instead of standing with me. "I never stole anything from you!"

Dad just stared at me without any hint of guilt in his face. "See you in court, Miracle, and don't worry, we will take care of your mother."

The officers handcuffed me while reciting my rights and I started thrashing around.

"No! Mom!" I screamed and looked desperately for her, as if she would magically be healed and save me.

I was not even afraid of being wrongfully accused. I am scared of not seeing my mother anymore and leaving her behind to these monsters! God knows what they will do to her!

"I tried to defend you, dear sister. I'm sorry. Don't worry, we will visit you." Blair said, now standing on her feet, and wiped her fake tears.

"Hopefully, you will reflect on what you did wrong while you're inside, Miracle." Mark said with a fake sadness in his face but I could see a stupid grin on his face.

"Our poor daughter, Norman!" Delilah cried out and hid her face in my father's chest, but I knew she too, was smiling behind her act.

I looked at them one by one, cursing them and wishing for their death in my head.

"This isn't over. I will make you all pay for this. You might be laughing now, but I promise I will have the last laugh!"

This isn't the end. I will come back and I will save my mother, and myself from them. That is a promise.

Chapter Ninety-Nine: His Miracle, Her Pride(FINAL CHAPTER)Hawkins' POVI frowned when I did not see Miracle around. I left to get her a fruit juice and got a glass of beer for me as well, but when I came back to our table, I didn't see her anywhere. Confused, I started looking everywhere for her with our drinks in my hands and found her on the deck while looking at the vast ocean. "I should have known you'd be here." I chuckled, walking closer to her, handing her her juice and kissing her head. "This reminds me of the time I saw you again after a long time. Five years ago on this exact spot and date." I mumbled on her cheek and she laughed lightly, turning to face me and looking at me with those eyes that mirror the ocean. "Who would have thought that we would be together? That we'll come back here to celebrate our anniversary?" "Well, I can't blame you for not letting me go. I'm a total catch." I winked at her and Miracle threw her head back. "You're so full of yourself." "What

Chapter Ninety-Eight: Forevermore Miracle's POV"I love you. I missed you so much." I repeatedly told Hawk once we're alone in our room. After our moment in the pool, we ditched everyone and he took me to our home where we can be alone and love each other. I am longing to see our son, but for now we are excited to love one another after being apart for a long time. "Not as much as I did, love. I almost died waiting for you, thinking you will forget about me and possibly fall for another man." He replied when our lips disconnected. I threw my head back and laughed, giving him the access to my neck and my laughter soon turned to moans. Soon, our clothes disappeared and we're now on top of each other with no space between us. Our lips clashed, tongues battled for dominance and our hands explored each other's bodies, as if we're familiarizing each other's touch, igniting a spark of lust within me. God, how long has it been since we last made love? I couldn't even remember anymore but

  • His Miracle, Her Pride   Chapter Ninety-Seven: Forever Starts Now

Chapter Ninety-Seven: Forever Starts NowMiracle's POVI woke up to the sound of something beeping, I inhaled and I smelled nothing but disinfectant and alcohol. I knew the word, but for some strange reason, I couldn't pinpoint it.I groaned when a wave of pain hit me. It started from my brain and it felt like my skull was cut open, then it spread all over my body. Everything feels sore. Like I hadn't moved in a long time, especially my back. I panicked when I felt something on my face and reached out to remove it even if my hands felt weak. It's helping me breathe, but right now, I feel suffocated. When I removed it, I heaved a breath and panted harshly while looking around. Where am I? What am I doing here? I swallowed and winced because my throat felt like sandpaper. I tried to sit, but there were a lot of things attached to my hands and body. There was no one in the empty room beside me, and it didn't help that the room felt depressing aside from a vase filled with red roses, b

  • His Miracle, Her Pride   Chapter Ninety-Six: A Wonderful Surprise

Chapter Ninety-Six: A Wonderful SurpriseHawkins' POVMy eyes never left her. It might sound creepy, but my eyes followed her wherever she goes and whoever she talks to. My blood boils whenever a man looks at her the wrong way and I wanted to stake my claim, but that is just inappropriate, so I can only clench my fists and the girls beside me helped me hold my jealousy in. After greeting everyone, Beth let the waiters serve the food. We both worked on the service and chose Miracle's favorite dishes. I thought her taste might have changed, considering she lost her memory, but to my surprise and happiness, her tastes remain the same. She looked so adorable. She was like a little kid all over again as she tried every dish on the table. "It's sad that she can't remember us, but it's okay because she came back to us. She's cured, isn't she, Hawk? We won't lose her, right?" Anna said beside me, causing me to look away from my wife for a second to look at her."Doc Zach said the procedure

He allowed me to see her one more time while she's still asleep and told us that we are now forbidden to see her. The thought of not seeing her for three months was hard, but the thought of her being cured from the disease made it easier. What's three months when I waited for her for years? A day after she woke up, Zach called me and informed me that Miracle did in fact, lose her memory, but he couldn't tell yet if it's temporary or permanent. Chapter Ninety-Four: A Miracle for MiracleHawkins' POVThe moment Zach Montgomery himself contacted me saying he's willing to help us, Miracle and I flew the next day, and we left our son in my parents' care. Everyone originally wanted to go with us, but I didn't want to overwhelm the doctor. It was shocking enough that he reached out, and it's even more shocking that he chose us among the other patients. "Nervous?" I asked Miracle who was looking out the window. She slowly turned to me and her answer was written all over her face. "Nervous, scared and yet I feel excited as well, Hawk, but I don't want to get my hopes up yet."I smiled and squeezed her hand. "That is normal, love, but I feel positive about this one." She let out a shaky breath. "I really hope it's good news."She leaned her head on my chest and I kissed the crown of her head.
