The Revelation Of Truth

Rehaan and Maya were sitting in the class. Maya noticed that today Rehaan was sitting on the back bench. He looked pale. Ankit sat next to Maya.

Ankit "Hi Maya. How are you? "

Maya "What happened to Rehaan? He looks pale. Is he okay?"

Ankit "I don't know. "

Ankit tried to talk to Maya again, but it was clear she wasn't interested. The teacher entered the class. Ankit was trying to focus in class but couldn't, how could he? He was sitting next to Maya! After the class was over, Ankit was about to say something, but Maya left. Ankit felt hurt.

Ankit went to Rehaan and asked him if he was okay.

Rehaan "Yes. What will happen to me? I'm fine."

Ankit "Maya was asking. Tell her you are okay, she was concerned"

Ankit left the classroom after saying so in a sarcastic manner.

During the dance practice, Rehaan looked lost. At last, Maya asked him what happened.

Maya "Are you okay?"

Rehaan "I'm fine. Thank you for asking."

Rehaan left the room after saying so. Maya was confused. She said to herself, "What happened to this guy? He replied so politely. He didn't even annoy me today. And he thanked me? Seems like he is not well."

After returning home, Maya was feeling restless. In the evening, she went for a drive.

Her parents, Rajveer and Nisha were discussing Maya's cold behavior.

Rajveer "She is just eighteen. She is a child now. With time she'll learn to adjust. Anyway, we would leave this place within two or three years. So it's good she is not attached to anybody."

Nisha "It's not about attachment Rajveer. She acts weird. People will start doubting us. In today's world, it's not so easy to hide. She needs to behave like a normal teen girl. She is always disgusted."

Rajveer laughed and said "So were you when I first met you. Your daughter is your replica. You learned everything yourself. She would too."

Maya was on her way home. The weather felt different. Something was different in the air. She took the way that was near the forest, despite her parents asking her to avoid it, especially when alone. She was driving, thinking about Rehaan. She kept thinking why does a guy bother her so much? Suddenly she noticed a car. She stopped her car and went outside. She recognized it to be Rehaan's car. He was not there. No one else was there. She felt something strange. She was worried for him and called him on his mobile, but he left his phone inside the car. She could sense that he was in the jungle. She went to the jungle. The jungle was quite dense. She heard something and followed the sound.

She could feel that Rehaan was somewhere near. She kept searching for him. And then she saw him. In the full moon's light, she saw Rehaan. He was shirtless, and his back was turned towards her. Maya was hiding behind a tree, watching what he was doing. Rehaan was making some noise. He was in pain. His eyes turned golden, his nails started growing, and he kept making those weird creepy noises. But Maya still couldn't understand what was happening. His back was still turned towards her. He started transforming into a beast. He turned into a wolf! A grey-colored wolf, who has shiny hair, looked beautiful as the moon's light fell on him. After transforming into a wolf, Rehaan started howling. The howl sounded deadly. The whole atmosphere changed. The beauty of the full moon was overshadowed by the horrors of the wolf's deadly howls!

Maya was shocked. She never thought Rehaan could be a werewolf. She was just staring at him. Rehaan sensed someone's presence. He turned towards Maya. In his wolf form, he attacked her.

He jumped on Maya and she fell. She tried to grab him and throw him away, but he was too strong. With his sharp nails, he scratched her face. Maya got injured. She somehow got up and tried to run, but couldn't. He attacked her again. After some time when she couldn't resist his attacks anymore, she revealed her true form. Her eyes turned red, her nails grew and became black, her canines got longer and sharper, and she pushed him with full force. Rehaan fell several feet away and suddenly turned back to his human form. Maya slowly gained control over herself and she also turned back into her human form. Rehaan now calm, looked at Maya with amazement. "You are a vampire? " Rehaan asked. "Yes. And you are a werewolf, " Maya replied.

Rehaan was unable to get up. He was still trying to figure out what just happened. It took him some time to realize, that he transformed into a wolf and in his wolf form attacked Maya. Rehaan tried to get up but fell. Maya came closer to him and helped him get up. Both kept staring into each other's eyes. It felt like they were living a false life, and today they found the truth.

It was awkward. Both didn't know how to react. Of course, Maya was aware of the werewolves' existence, but this was the first time, she faced one. Rehaan's heart was still beating faster. He was unable to understand what should he do now. He was waiting for Maya to say something. Maya slowly started walking towards the road. Rehaan followed her. Maya got into her car and drove away. Rehaan too drove away.

Rajveer and Nisha called Maya several times on her mobile phone, but her phone was unreachable. They tried to connect with her through their vampiric powers but failed. Maya rang the bell. Nisha in lightning speed opened the door. She quickly noticed the scratches on her face, though they were fading now.

Nisha "What happened? These marks? Where were you?"

Maya didn't reply and entered the house. Rajveer stood up and came closer to Maya. He carefully watched the scars fade away.

Rajveer "It seems like a wolf... " He paused for a few seconds.

Nisha "Where were you, Maya? We tried to contact you but couldn't. We were just about to go out to find you. How did you get hurt? What happened? "

Maya "He is a werewolf. In his wolf form, he lost his control and attacked me. I never thought he could be a werewolf. He seems normal. Then how? And I never felt that he could be... "

Rajveer "You know him? Who is he? You have seen his human form. Tell me his name. I'll finish him off! "

Rajveer's eyes turned red. He turned into his vampire form. Maya replied "Rehaan. His name is Rehaan. He is my classmate. "

Nisha "Same Rehaan who is your dance partner?"

Maya "Yes Mom."

Rajveer still in his vampire form asked Maya where Rehaan was but she kept silent. Rajveer said he would find Rehaan himself and was about to leave the house when Nisha stopped him.

Nisha "Don't be a fool. He is a werewolf! We have to take every step carefully. The werewolves got to know about us. The whole clan might come after us if we harm Rehaan in any way."

Nisha has also come in her vampire form now. She continued "He cannot be any ordinary wolf. He attacked Maya. Maya is a born vampire. It's not easy to attack her or even survive after she attacks someone. He is strong. We need to find out who he is."

Rajveer and Nisha were the vampire king and queen. After their marriage, Maya was born. As Maya was born a vampire, she was one of the strongest vampires, even stronger than her parents. But Rehaan could attack her. So it was obvious he wasn't any ordinary werewolf!

Rehaan returned home. He was still trembling. He sat on a sofa leaning his back. He was exhausted. Kamini, Rehaan's mother climbed down the stairs. She noticed Rehaan was looking disturbed.

Kamini "You transformed today?"

Rehaan "Yes Mom."

Kamini "With time, you will get used to it. Look at me. I transformed today too. Nobody got to know about it. The servants didn't even get suspicious. I have full control over myself. Nobody knew a wolf was roaming in my room."

Kamini said this to Rehaan with pride. Kamini being the werewolf queen, was a smart, proud woman. She wanted to see Rehaan as the strongest werewolf.

Kamini noticed Rehaan was silent. He was lost in thoughts. Kamini asked him what happened. He told her everything that happened in the jungle. He told her about Maya being a vampire. But Kamini didn't get angry. She was calm.

Kamini "So this girl you are talking about is your classmate? You have known her for so many months but couldn't recognize her? We werewolves can easily identify those bloodsuckers. But you couldn't. It could mean only one thing, that she is the daughter of the vampire king and queen. Find out everything you can about her. Befriend her. She has seen your human form. We need to be alert."

Rehaan "We never got along Mom. Why would she share anything with me? Why would she accept my friendship?"

Kamini "You have to do it. We need to know who she is. If she is the king and queen's daughter, she is the most powerful vampire. She could be dangerous."

Rehaan nodded his head agreeing with his mother.

Nisha also asked Maya to befriend Rehaan and try to find out about him and his family. She said being the king and queen's daughter, she has to protect her clan.

Both Rehaan and Maya agreed to find out about each other to protect their respective clans. Both were unaware of their fate. Unaware it could be the beginning of a new love story or the rise of a stronger rivalry between two creatures. Would nature's law permit them to be together? Only time could tell.
