LOGINIvy opened her eyes slowly to early morning sun rays sipping through the window. She sat up gently on her bed, stretching. When she looked at the time, she sighed. Today’s sun was too bright; otherwise, it was still early hours of the morning. She walked off to her bedroom and took her shower. A few minutes later, she was done dressing up and ready to go to work. She made a note to herself to be strong, no matter what she witnessed at the office today. She breathed in and out while looking at herself in the mirror. When she had done enough and felt even calmer, she picked up her bag and got into the hotel’s elevator. First, she'd go to Ryder’s parking lot and take her car, then she’d drive to the office. She came out of the elevator in her elegant attire, her face expressionless but very beautiful. Right then, she stopped a coming taxi and hopped inside. A few minutes later, they arrived at Ryder’s estate. She heaved a heavy sigh as memories overwhe
“Y.. Yes, it's a hotel..” she answered, her voice low. Carl nodded, he understood. Ivy left her matrimonial home to stay in a hotel—she must really hate Ryder now. It was for the best. Ryder was not a good man. From what he had seen earlier, he concluded that Ryder was not the best man for a woman like Ivy. He was indecisive and of course st*pid. Because Carl couldn't understand why he was still with Sheila after what she plotted against Ivy. He bit his lower lip in annoyance. And he was a bit relieved that Ivy no longer lived in the same house with him. “I understand. And if anyone hasn't told you this, you made the right decision,” he muttered and Ivy smiled. “Larisa already did,” she said then gave a soft laugh. “That friend of yours,” Carl said and Ivy smiled. With that, he drove to MH Star. A few minutes later, they arrived. “Thanks so much for everything Mr Wayne.” She muttered “You don’t have to say this every time. I’ll always be available for you.” He mu
With his eyes cold and teeth clenched hard, he got into his car and drove off. With Sheila seated comfortably in front of his car. Earlier she had complained of plunging into depression, and Ryder suggested taking her to a park where she’d look around to brighten her mood again. “Who’s that?” she asked, her eyes on Ryder. He sighed. Sheila doesn't know Mr Wayne, the CEO of X&Y Bags, with whom the company has an ongoing collaboration at the moment, who came to the company on the day of negotiation and she was there. Who else does she know? He knew Sheila wasn't the right fit for the role he had given her at the company. He knew so well that, Ivy deserved that position, but he couldn't bring himself to take it from Sheila anymore, it would surely hurt her. Taking it from her would only cause her more heartache. Ryder believed she was already going through so much. When they got to the park, he got her icecream and got one for himself just as Sheila wanted. “About
Carl sat in his office, his mind drifted off into thoughts. Last night, he couldn't sleep. He was tumbling and turning around on his bed till the morning sun rose. He sighed deeply, his chest heavy. Ivy was his medicine. The woman who made him sleep for once since his insomnia started many years ago. He tried to call Ivy all through the night maybe he could have a bit of sleep after that but her number never went through. He palmed his forehead. Why didn't he meet her earlier. It was clear that the lady was his soul mate, she was supposed to be his but Ryder got to her first. What does he do now? Goodness, he was devastated. He stood up, picked up his car key, and left his office. ———— Ivy got seriously busy. For some reason, she was feeling lighthearted now. After the encounter she had with Ryder and Sheila, she buried herself in her designs since in the morning and that seemed to have lightened her mood. Her designs had made her forget her nightmares for once.
Before she knew it, Sheila knelt in front of her. “I didn't know what came over me. I'm very sorry Ivy. Please forgive me this last time,” Sheila begged, her palms clasped together. Ivy looked between her and Ryder. Her stomach twisted into knots. Ryder would never stop disappointing her, he’ll never stop choosing Sheila over and over again. Gosh how she felt like crying. Tears welled up in her eyes. She balled her fist tightly and walked away from their presence. As soon as she got to her office, she threw her bag against the floor and burst into tears. Just when she thought Sheila had left and she could work on forgiving her husband and improving their marriage, she was still here. Her life meant nothing to Ryder. Even when Sheila was now a threat to her life, he still let her stay. She cried so much. Just then, the door to her office opened. She looked up to see Ryder standing above her. “She said sorry. Just forgive her Ivy. She has promised never to do
“No, no.. You can't do that to me, no Ryder, don't have me jailed, please. I’ll say it.. I wouldn't lie..” she counted, her voice frightened. “I.. I.. I was just carried away. I wanted you back so much that I didn't know what else to do. Please forgive me. I'm sorry. I'm very sorry Ryder please don't throw me out. I don't have anywhere to go.” she begged, on her knees. Then she crawled on her knees closer to Ryder and held the down of his trousers. “Please forgive me this one time. I'll never try it again. I was just desperate to have you.” she said looking up at Ryder, his face cold. “You have to leave. You're done here,” he muttered and Sheila shook once again. Her life would end here and now if she truly had to leave Ryder’s life right now. Her eyes filled with panic, she clutched her palms together and put them on top of her head “I'm sorry, I’m very sorry, give me one last chance. Where's Ivy please take me to her, I’ll ask for her forgiveness, I’ll do anything she as
Ivy lay on her bed with her eyes wide open. She wondered where her husband had gone with Sheila. Figuring she couldn't deal with this alone, she decided to put in a call to Larisa. But after calling several times, Larisa never picked up. Deep sighs escaped her lungs. Larisa was an early sle
Few minutes later, Ivy came out of her bathroom, in her white robe, with a towel on her hair to dry it up. The warm bath had helped calm her nerves a bit. She sat on her skin care table, in front of her mirror, ready to spend some time on her skin. Just then, Ryder came behind her. "Hey Ivy.." h
Without thinking more about it, Ryder grabbed her lips into his and began relishing on them. Ivy felt delighted, her heart dangled with bliss as her hand went round his body, while she has devoured on his lips as well. Her husband was finally back with her. --------- It was morning, light ray
Her face twisted in anger. Even though she tried to act strong and hide it, it could be clearly seen that she was heart broken. "Do you have to attend?" Larisa asked, feeling deeply for Ivy. "Let's go.." Ivy picked up a file and walked out of her office. She needed to see clearly the woman who h
