Chapter 8

Schuyler Savannah's P. O. V.

The darkness and the cold temperature did not help to ease my tense mind and stop me from trembling in nervousness. I tried to look around me and see what was happening, but all I could see was nothing.

I looked down on my hand as I continued to caress the eyefold that Hunter had given me when he picked me up and dropped me in this place. No words came from him, but I do know the obvious thing that I am required to wear this before Ezekiel arrives here.

I was told to wait, but I don’t have any idea how long I should do that. I looked out through the veranda and saw how dark it was outside. I know that by now, the hospital has already received an order to let my parents stay there.

I sighed deeply. As much as I wanted to call the hospital, I know that I can’t. Hunter took my phone with him, claiming that if I don’t cooperate, they’ll quickly send my parents away. I stood up from the coach and tried my best to make my way on the bed.

I feel so tired alread
