Chapter 9

Schuyler Savannah's P. O. V.

I made sure to hold tightly on the staircase railing as I made my way downstairs. I felt a little better now compared to earlier until Anne managed to convince me to go down for breakfast.

On our way there, I couldn't help, but notice the interior of the whole house. They all looked too fancy yet only had black and gray as its color. I sighed and realized that I wasn't wrong last night while Hunter was helping me get to the bedroom. Everywhere I look, all I see is the same thing.

'Is there no one else here?' I wanted to ask Anne, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I'm still a stranger to her and I don't feel good trusting someone I was never even acquainted with before.

I was following behind Anne when she went to the backyard. She opened the door for me and helped me walk outside.

The sight of men standing around had startled me, but I tried to act as calmly as I could. Their eyes darted on me and I'm not sure if I was the only one seeing it.. but they
