Chapter 5 : Threat

When Ellen went through the back door, She sees him standing there with his back at her. " So you are here, Logan mutters. Wait, how did he know that am here, is he some kind of sorcerer? Ellen asks herself. " I have to. have powers before I know that you are here angel. Now, as I was saying, I went you to go on the date with me, Logan says and turns to face her. 

And as I also said, I will not go anywhere with you, Ellen declares with a challenging look. Logan raises his eyebrows at her and grins. He knew that Ellen would deny him so he came very prepared. Ellen studies him and instantly knows something is cooking in that head of his. " Okay, if you won't go with me, then I won't go, Logan says. Why are you telling me this, like I cared if you went or not? Ellen croons making her way past him. " I haven't finished, Logan continues.

Ellen stops in her tracks. " I won't go, and that includes my friends. Which again includes Blake".

Ellen looks at him angrily. This is between you and me Logan so don't you dare drag Karen and Blake in this? She warns. 

" I haven't said anything about stopping Blake. My friends are going because I will be there. We are a team, and if I don't go I don't have to ask them. They won't go without me, Logan states. Unless, if you go on the date with me, Blake and Karen will also go on their date.

Ellen's eyes began to tear up but she brushed them off with her fingers. Many girls in this school are ready to do everything for you by the snap of your fingers so why don't you go with someone else. Don't you want Karen and Blake to be with each other? They like each other why can't you see that, Ellen mutters.

" Am the one who encouraged Blake to ask her out so I know better than you. You said many girls are ready to go out with me but I don't want many girls, I want you, Logan says determined which makes Ellen gasp in surprise. Ellen knows that if Blake calls off the date it will hurt Karen and she doesn't want that so she has to accept his request. She knows she has to do this for Karen. 

Okay, you win, She whispers. I will go with you but you have to make sure that Karen and Blake go out on their date without any interference.

" It's a deal then. I will come to pick you up at your house ". How do you know my house? Ellen asks. " Logan chuckles, like I said, I have my ways. Okay fine, at least my debt will be paid in full. Ellen says makes her way to Karen.

Ellen sees Karen at the entrance looking pissed. " Ellen why do you always take along to do the simplest things, huh. Where is the book anyway?" 

Shoot, Ellen curses. She had forgotten about that. She tries to think of something fast to tell her. Armm, when I went to the class my book wasn't on my desk so I looked in my bag and discovered it was inside all along, Ellen lies.  Karen looks at her as if she knows that Ellen is lying. " Is there something you aren't telling me, Ellen? Karen asks suspiciously. No, why do you say that? 

" Nothing. It's okay, I believe you. Let's go and shop, Karen says and giggles. Karen calls for a cap and both of them sit inside.

When they arrived at the shop. They paid the driver and stepped out of the car. Karen dragged Ellen straight into the gown shop. " Ellen, look at this red gown isn't it beautiful? Karen asks showing her the dress. " Yes it's very beautiful and you would look good in it but you are going to a party, not a ball. Ellen says chuckling. Karen pouts in response. Ellen's smile dies when she remembered that she is also going to the party and needed a dress. She turns to Karen in panic, I have something to confess; am also going to the party with Logan. Ellen confesses. " That's a good one Ellen, a joke to lighten up the mood, Karen laughs thinking it's a joke but she sees Ellen's serious face. I "Are you serious?" 

Yes, he asked me when I lived to take the book and I accepted. "What! You lied, Karen looks at Ellen in disbelief. And you are telling me now. Why didn't you tell me earlier? Karen asks. 

Because you were so happy and didn't want to ruin your happiness by telling you that I will be there at the party. 

" Are you kidding me, why would you ruin my happiness. I am happy that my best friend is going to be there with me. Best friend, Ellen asks surprised. Karen just winks at her. Please next don't keep any important news and lie to me. 

Ellen nods. I won't keep anything from you. I want us to start our friendship with a clean heart.

Smiling Karen asks. So are we solid? Yes, we are solid. Ellen responded smiling.

" We have to also get you a dress course because I want Logan's jaw to drop on seeing you tonight, Karen decides.

They look through many dresses and Karen finally got the perfect one. It was a lace deep V - neck A-line red dress with sparkles on it that fitted her well. She looked glamorous. " Ellen, what do you think about this dress? ". 

It's really beautiful and you look gorgeous in it. Blake will fall for you today if he isn't. Ellen smiles approvingly at her.

" Okay, I have found my dream dress it's your turn". They looked through all the dresses but none was eye-catching to Ellen. She was almost about to give up when her eyes fell on a Luxurious black open sequin backless dress. Karen, am going to try out this dress. Ellen takes the dress to the dressing room. She removes her garments and wears the dress. After wearing she went to the mirror and gasp in surprise at her reflection. It is perfect. It hugged my body like a second skin. It made her pale white skin bright and It showcased her curves. Ellen goes out to show the dress to Karen.

Karen looks at Ellen with her mouth open. Say something? Ellen croons. Karen still didn't say anything. It was like she was frozen in place. Okay if it's nice am going to remove it, Ellen was about to turn but Karen finally spoke. 

" You bitch, don't you dare remove this dress. You look like a supermodel from the covers. Wow, just wow, am jealous of you right now. I wish everyone in the school would see you in this dress ". 

So the dress is nice, Ellen inquire. " Hell yeah! Karen screams. Ellen is not used to revealing dresses so she felt a little uneasy. Don't you think it's too much and a bit revealing, She asks Karen. We don't know the kind of party we are going to so I don't want us to be overdressed, Ellen reasoned. " First of all sweetheart, Blake told me it's a formal party so you have to dress that the part. And about to reveal, you need to show some skin for Logan girl ".

" Logan should drool over you like you are the only thing he sees, Karen says. This dress will knock'em dead at the party. All the men's attention will be on you and Logan will be jealous. I can't wait to see him go all caveman for you". Karen claps excitedly.

What planet are you from Karen, all the romance novel is getting in your head, Ellen mutters with a smile. " Am not exaggerating Ellen, it happens in real life okay ". We will see about that, Ellen challenges. Am choosing this dress because I like it not because of Logan. 

Okay go and take that dress off so we can go pay for it, Karen says. Whiles removing the dress Ellen's eyes fall on the price tag and holy moly the dress costs a lot. The dress looked first class so it had to cost more than the other dresses. Ellen removed it with a heavy heart. She went out of the dressing room.

Armm, Karen, I can't take the dress. " Why not, She asks"

It's too costly and I can't use all my savings to pay for it. " Don't worry I will pay for it, Karen decides. No, I can't let you do that, what friend would I be, a friend who takes advantage of her friends on their first day of friendship, Ellen reasons.

" What friend will I also be, a friend who doesn't help a friend in need. No Ellen, you aren't taking advantage of me. This is the first step to bond out a relationship. So pack the dress and let me pay for it, Ellen nods. After paying for the dress they went to a few other stores and bought different types of bras, shoes, makeups, perfumes, and panties they had to offer, then paid for them. 

They finally decided to go and eat. They headed straight to a restaurant and slid into a booth and ordered our meals. Ellen ordered a burger and milkshake whiles Karen ordered a full-sized pizza, milkshake, and dessert. 

Ellen raises her eyebrows, And asks, How are you going to finish all that food. Don't you want to fit in your dress?.

Karen looks at Ellen and answers with her mouth full, " I haven't eaten in ages, I could eat a whole elephant. " So dramatic, Ellen murmured smiling. 

When they finished eating they paid leave. They call for a cab and rushed inside.

During the car ride, Karen calls her mom and told her she was going on a date so she would be with her friend's house and she will come home after it's over. Her mom says Okay and she hangs up. 

" So we are getting ready at your house. Cause I got all the things I need here ". Okay, Ellen answers giving her house direction.
