Chapter 24

Damon's Pov

Damon had no idea what was going on, all he realized was his wife was in pain and he had no idea how to make her alright. They were now in the hospital.

After Nina collapsed in Damon's arms, he took her to his car and drove to the hospital as soon as he could. Nina was unconcious during the whole ride and Damon had realized that she was bleeding.

Damon was now waiting outside the ICU with blood stain on his shirt. He was praying to god to make his Nina alright again.

Right now he regretted everything. If he hadn't threw her out of  the house, if he had believed this child is his then none of these would have happened. At this point he does not even care if this child is his or not......this child is inside Nina and that means its is Nina's child, and thats all he needs to know. The only thing he cares about now is that his nina and the child needs to be safe.

after waiting for almost 3 hours, which felt like eternity for Damon, the head doctor came and called Damon.

"Mr, are you the patients husband?" the doctor asked. Damon hurriedly nodded his head and said that he was.

"I am very sorry, but your wife has lost the child...she had a miscarriage but by Gods grace she is alright now even though she bleed a lot, you took her here at the right time."

Damon didnt replied to that conversation. He felt like his world was crumbled. God knows why, he was all of a sudden sure that the child was his. Then he thought about Nina. What will happen to her, how will she take the news.

After a while a nurse came out of the room and said Damon could now meet Nina as Nina was awake.

Damon slowly enterd the room, he had no idea how to face her but still he knew he had to be strong for her and this time he will be.

Damon saw Nina's pale figure laying on the bed without a word. She looked as if she was lost, as if she had no idea where she was and she didn't even want to know.

Damon slowly called her name as if a little bit loud sound would hurt her.

But Nina didnt answer nor did she look at him. Damon called her again as he went closer and put his hand on hers.

Her body jerked up as Damon's hand touched hers and she slowly looked at him. At last Damon could see her eyes which reflected no emotion, as if her eyes were blank.

"Nina, sweetheart, I'm so sorry" Damon said slowly but again Nina didnt react to that. Damon kept holding Nina's hand as he kept whispwring sweet nothings in her ears.

Suddenly Nina grabbed Damon's shirt's collar and said "bring him back, please Damon, bring my baby back".

This time it was Damon's turn to go blank. He didn't know how to anwer to that. He wishes he could bring the baby back , he really does. Damon didnt say anything but he shifted Nina's body on his lap and hugged her with everything he had. Nina told him a few more times to get her child back but at last she hugged him back and cried in his shoulders. Right now this is what she needed the most and Damon knew it.
