Chpater 23

Damon's pov

since they day Damon saw Nina in the cafe, he has been following her. He got to know that she lives with an elder lady. To be honest, he was relieved that she was safe. But it botheres him to see that she was working whilst being pregnant. Damon didnt let Nina know that he was following her, he just kept an eye on her  from a far. The thought that the baby could be his bothers him to no end. The thought that maybe he called his own child a bastard in enogh to keep him awake at night.

Right now he was standing outside the cafe that Nina works. He has decided that he will confront her, he will ask her about the father of the baby. If Stephen is the father then why is he not with her, how could that bastard let her suffer alone. Damon felt a bitter taste in his mouth as he remembered how Nina cheated on him. But somehow he finds it impossible to hate her.  he managed himself by taking a deep breath and entered the Cafe.

Nina's pov

Nina's shift was almost over, she was serving to the last customer. She wasn't feeling well and she knew that she badly needed rest. She gave her last customer a cup of coffee as her eyes fell   on Damon. Damon was directly looking at her. Nina didnt know what to do, as she just kept lookig at him. Damon came a little bit closer to her and said "we need to talk" . Nina noticed that the customer was looking at both Damon and her with a curious look. So, having no other option Nina told Damon to wait outside for het cause she really didnt want to create a scene there.

Nina stood infront of Damon trying her best to maintain some distance, as she was already taking his scent and only God knows how weak this scent makes her.

"What do you need from me now? Why are you here Damon?" Nina asked trying her best to give a serious tone.

"Why are you working here in this condition, where did your lover go?" Damon asked her in reply.

At first Nina didnt understand what Damon meant but when she understood she became furious.

"What makes you think that you have the right to ask me that. Just, leave me alone for God's sake Damon" Nina yelled frustratingly.

"why are you so angry ha? did stephen left you alone after knowing that you're pregnant?" Damon asked, spitting every word with anger.

"no, you are the one who kicked me out, you are the one who hurt me the most, you are the one who left me when i needed you the most." Nina said accusingly with tears flowing down her eyes.

" well, maybe you are forgetting Nina but you are the one who cheated on me with my brother" damon yelled.

" Damon how many times do I have to tell you that I never cheated on you, I dont- Nina couldn't finish her sentence as she fell an intense pain in her abdomenon. She felt like the whole world was crubling. She put a hand on her stomach as she cried out from the intense pain.

Damon's pov

Damon was raging with anger when he suddenly saw that Nina touched her stomach and cried out.

"Nina what happened?" Damon asked hurriedly.

"It hurts aah" Nina dropped on her knees as she couldnt tolerate the pain anymore.

As nina fell on her knees damon caught her in his arms. He realized that Nina was lossing conciousness.

"Nina, baby look at me , please tell me whats wrong" but Nina didnt answer as she collapsed in Damons arm.
