Chapter Fourteen

Alpha Calhoun and Aldophus were standing at the corridor's balcony facing the giant gate to the palace.

"I saw the demon's head. You did a good job but that didn't prove you're entirely free from what happened in the town," said the alpha.

Aldophus nodded. Though the praise was for Beelzebub who killed the demon.

"Thank you." Aldophus replied.

"Hmm, there's something I would love to know, are you willing to tell me? " He asked.

Aldophus furrowed his brows and nodded his head, "depending on the nature of the question," he answered.

"What do you know about your maid Sara?"

Aldophus was quiet for sometime as he stared at the alpha. "She's the daughter of a friend I once knew."

The answer didn't go down well with the alpha but he didn't probe any further. "If you say so." he then left.

Sara was waiting for Aldophus on the corridor that was well lit with white crystals. She saw the alpha walk out from the balcony and was soon followed by Aldophus.

Sara cowered when the alpha thr
