I stopped in front of Maya and watched her quietly as she wiped the blood away from her neck as quickly as she could.

“Who was he and what did he do to you?” I asked softly, as I took a step closer to her, thinking was it possible that the guy had some sort of weird fetish that involved biting and drawing up blood.

Maya didn’t look back at me but from her body language I could tell she was scared as she was shaking.

“He’s just a friend and he didn’t do anything” she said before she sat down on the edge of her bed and held a few tissues over the bite mark, making it hard for me to see it properly.

I sat down on the bed next to her and tried my best to remain as calm as possible as I didn’t want to push her away any more than I had already.

“I know I haven’t been around much Maya but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about you” I said quietly, hoping no one disturbed us as I really wanted to talk to her alone.
