Ashton was getting ready to work when he received a call from Harris.
“Hey man, what’s up?” He chirped. After a few seconds, Katherine watched his eyes widened as his smile began to be replaced by panic.
“Kathy..” He shoved his phone into his pant pocket and walked near her. “I-It’s your dad.. Harry is taking him to the hospital.”
Katherine’s pulse began to hammer and she felt a surge of unfamiliar feelings blazing inside her. She had hated her father for leaving her when she needed him the most. All she had for her father was hate and anger.
