The threats

Adrain has stormed into Leon's high tech_building,hidden beneath the city Street.The entrance disguised as a non descript door in a run down alley way, which leads to a modern door elevator that took him down to a house As the door opens Adrain stepped into a dimly lit chamber.

Leon,seated on the couch, sipping a glass of scotch.His piercing blue eyes seem to bore into Adrain as he raised his glass to a silent toast on sighting him.

“Welcome Adrian,I see you're still breathing, that's a good thing”.

Adrain ignored the sarcasm,his eyes scanning the room as if in search of something.” I need you to leave her out of it”.

Leon chuckled, a cold sound,as he set his glass down a table” if you think you can protect her,them do it”.

Adrain eyes narrowed,his anger boiling over.” I'm warning you Leon,leave her out of this, she's not a part of this “.

Leon shrugged.” I'm afraid, that's not possible “. His expression unchanging”I know all about her so it's easy to get to her”.

Adrain face twisted in anger” how dare you threaten her right in front of me “. He growled, taking a step closer to him.

The air filled with tension as they both faced off.

Leon has been a business partner with adrain for years,but Leon felt offended when Adrian rejected his only daughter, Caroline. Which led him to placing the bet.

Adrain left the place with his mind racing with plans to protect Elara.

He can't let anyone harm the one person that's a stepping stone to his cure.

The hospital

Lydia covered herself in a white coat, making sure she wouldn't be recognized.she made her way to Denver office,her heart filled with anticipation.

Denver looked up from his desk when Lydia walked in. His expression was one of annoyance..” what can I do for you”.

Her eyes narrowed “ what's keeping you from executing it”. Her voice cold.

Denver sighed

Leaning back in his chair.” It's not that simple,there are obstacles”.

Her eyes flashed with anger.

“ Obstacles? I call it incompetence”.

Denver expression turned defensive.

“Adrain is getting involve with Elara,and that won't make it easy for us”.

“ I didn't get involve with you for to be giving me excuses,I did it to get results,this will better our life's Denver and you know it,so get to work”. Her voice commanding.

Lydia turned to leave,but Denver voice stopped her.”how are you dealing with Victor Ashford “.

“I'm handling it”she said,her voice dropping with anger.

With that she left the office.

As she walked out of the hospital,she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. “ Who's this Adrain?.

Adrain is a stumbling block,and she need to find a way to handle him.

Adrain stepped out of the elevator and then he spotted Elara sitting in the waiting room at the hospital,her eyes fixed on a book.

He approached her,his footsteps quiet on the floor.”Elara”. He said softly,his voice low and urgent.

She looked up,her eyes looking into his”why's he here again”.

He took a deep breath, he had to do it at least for his own sake. “ I have a proposal for you”. His voice serious.

“ Let me properly introduce myself, I'm Adrain Vale,the owner of Heath Group”.

Elara eyes widened in disbelief,the same man that she wasn't allowed to see.

“ I will consider your brother's surgery on one condition”. He said ,his eyes fixed on hers.” Only if you accept to live with me”.

Elara couldn't believe her ears.

And why would she live with a stranger she just met,but then again,her brothers life was on the line.

“Why are you doing all of this? her voice steady.

“You will know with time”.

Elara was determined to safe her brother,the only family she has left, so she began considering his proposal.

Adrain could feel his heart pounding as the air charged with tension.

No girl had ever made him feel this way.

He leaned in,his face inches from hers,and her breathing quicken.

For a moment they just stared at each other . Adrain eyes searched hers and he saw a glimmer of understanding.

Elara's heart flustered, Adrain gently squeezed her hands, giving her a gentle gesture of comfort.

“ You will need to trust me”his voice barely above a whisper.

Denver couldn't help but felt like he made the right decision. At least he can be able to safequard her when his close to him.

He was determined to do anything to keep her safe,and if it means offering his home so be it.

Finally Elara nodded in affirmative,a small smile displaying on her face.” Okey, Adrain I will come with you if that means my brother getting all the necessary treatment he needs “.

Adrain smiled back at her.” I promise,you won't regret this “.

Elara heart sparkle with hopes.

Finally she will be able to save her brother from death,and then everything will be normal again since Victor was taken away from her.

Adrain pulled out his phone,and dailed a number,his eyes not leaving Elara's face. She was still gazing at him with a mixture of gratitude and curiosity.

“ Hello”. His voice firm and authoritative.

“I need you to make a quick arrangement to transfer a patient to another hospital in the State”.

There was a pause on the other end of the line,and Adrain could hear the doctor's hesitation.

“Sir, I'm not sure if that's possible on such short notice”. The man from the other end said.”the hospital has to follow some certain rules”.

“ Then make it possible”Adrain said,his grip on the phone tightened

The doctor sighed.” Okey,sir. I will make the arrangements.”

He hung up the phone.

Denver looked very disturbed

He was pacing in his office restlesslly.He need to act fast.

He dailed a number “Hello”. A female voice answered from the other end.

“We have a problem,his transferring him to another hospital in the state”.

“Then think of something ,and do it fast.” the lady's voice said then the call dropped
