I walked into the gate dressed in my uniform, a blazer, navy blue and embroidered school crest on the chest pocket. Crisp white long sleeve button down shirt, neatly pressed trousers and striped ties. I walked into the compound, my eyes staring around in admiration. This guy must be freaky wealthy and classy to own such a school.

The school compound is breathtaking, like a scene from a magazine. Towering glass-and-marble buildings gleam in the sunlight, their reflections dancing on the spotless tiled walkways. Manicured gardens burst with colorful flowers, and tall, graceful trees provide cool shade along the paths. Fountains sparkle at every corner, their gentle splash filling the air with calm. Luxury cars hum quietly as they pass through the grand, wrought-iron gates, while uniformed guards stand alert but polite. Every detail — from the polished benches to the golden school emblem shining at the entrance — whispers of prestige and quiet, effortless wealth.

I walked into the administrative office to fill files after which a green-eyed lady led me through corridors into a classroom.

“We have a new student, His name is Leo Houston” .

“You can have a seat over there, Leo,” the lady gestured.

I sat beside a guy. It was the only vacant sit available.

“Hi, I’m Miguel” He turned towards me.

“I’m Leo,” I replied, and began arranging my stuff in the locker, I lifted my face my eyes met with Miguel’s eyes. He looked so handsome. He has beautiful eyes, broad shouldered, his hair slightly tousled from basketball practice, his tie loosen a bit. He’s freaky handsome. I caught my self and stared away instantly. My eyes pinned on the long notebook in front of me.

The campus was quiet, most of the students had slept. I stood by the window staring out at the tall school buildings that had lights shining brightly in it. It looked beautiful like a lit pack of candle sticks. The breeze rushed through the windows, the stars sparkled brightly.

I touched the bracelet around my wrist. It’s so precious to me, that’s the gift mum gave me the day I turned eighteen.

“It will help you discover who you truly are dearie, okay”.

My mum whispered to my ears. I never understood what that meant cause there were lots of smiles and party and cakes that filled that moment. But now I don’t even know who I am anymore, I wake up everyday taunted by dreams of wolves and forests. My eyes change colors when I stare at myself in mirrors. And yes, I can remember clearly, when I met with Alpha Daman, the time he walked past me during the contest, an animal whimpered softly, happily within me, yeah, I was sure of it, it made a gentle high pitch sound inside me, as though it was so excited. I felt it strongly. Could that be my wolf? But that’s not possible. I am only human. Yeah mum and dad are humans. Now I know the bracelet holds a secret about me.

I stared at the shiny tiny chain, and suddenly it fell from my hand through the window. I gasped as I watched the glittering metal fly downwards and dropped by the bluish swimming pool.

Oh! I can’t lose it, it meant a lot to me? I rushed out of the room rushing down the long stairs of campus, my footwear making loud sounds.

Outside was so cold, I headed towards the pool not giving a damn about the chills the cold sent down my spine. A group of boys gathered there. There might be up to eight or something. A blonde-haired guy stood in the middle holding my bracelet. He spoke with a Spanish accent while the other guys laughed pointing at the bracelet.

I was scared but I swore to face hell while protecting that bracelet, it meant everything to me.

“Hey give that to me, it’s mine” I almost yelled.

The guys stared at me and bursted into laughter, it’s so obvious they are bullies.

“Why will a guy like you possess a girlish bracelet?” The first guy said with raised eyebrows. Everyone laughed except me.

“He possibly got that for his girlfriend, such a poor dude” the other guy said.

“Where did he even get the nerves to face us?”

“The poor dude is just a newbie, that gave him the guts to rant before us, but let me introduce KK gangs to him”

With that the guy hit me very hard across my cheeks. I sniffed and touched the blood that gushed from my nose. Tears hung loosely in my eyes and as I stared up at the boys the tears poured out in strands. Another hand smacked me very hard again across my cheeks and I felt that taste of blood in my mouth.

“He is an honest boyfriend, he came to fight for his girlfriend’s bracelet” .

“Is that tears in his face, come on dude real guys don’t cry, they fight, okay, so give us a punch in the face”

The blonde hair guy whispered to my ears and laughed as he went close to the pool, with one more smirk at me he let the shiny bangle fall.

Instantly my heart stopped beating for a while.

“It will help you discover who you truly are dearie, okay”

My mum’s words resounded again in my head as I watched the metal sink in the pool. My lips were trembling, hot tears strolled down my face.

I jumped into the pool, It wasn’t just a pool. It was very deep. I sank deep into the water. I stayed so long struggling to find the bracelet. I was losing my breath, I felt so weak and was slowly dying.

“Leo!!!!” I heard someone scream loudly in a voice that belonged to Miguel. I was loosing my breath, Slowly I passed out in the pool.

The morning sun hit on my face causing me to groan and shield my face. I opened my eyelids slowly and turned off the alarm that had been beeping for a long while. Today is not school day, it’s Saturday and I can’t help but feel so good, my lips stretching in a smile. I picked up my phone lying beside my bed pillow. And turned it on. A lot of messages flowed in causing my phone to beep. I glanced at the phone, those messages were from the school chat. I didn’t open it. I turned on the music “ Dancing with your ghost” by Sasha Sloan. And plucked on my headphones. I walked to the shower room and brushed my teeth. I walked out and stared at the room.A king-sized bed stood at the center, dressed in silky white sheets and a thick cream duvet, with pillows of different sizes piled high like clouds. A velvet throw in deep gold lay across the foot of the bed, adding a rich, elegant touch.Against one wall sat a sleek marble-topped desk, with a gold lamp, a few leather-bound notebooks, and

I was there, in the deep end of the water, my body limp, my hands barely showing on the surface before disappearing underwater. My eyes were closed, I fainted but somehow I could hear their voices. Am I dead??? Why can I still hear their voices? But I can’t move or even open my eyelids. No matter how I tried . It seemed I was faraway watching this.Noo!!! He screamed again in a tone filled with panic.Without thinking, he dove in, the shock of the cold water forgotten. His arms sliced through the water with desperate speed until he reached me. My eyes were shut, my hair fanned around my face like dark silk. For a terrifying moment, I felt too still, too weightless in his arms.“ please—please don’t do this,” he muttered, dragging me towards the edge with every ounce of strength in him.Pulling me out, he collapsed to his knees beside me, his hands trembling as he tilted my head back. People shouted around him, but their voices were static.“Breathe,” he choked, pressing on my chest.

The contest was way bigger than anything I imagined, the guys who showed up were huge and masculine. I was almost invisible in their midst. A blonde haired lady in a suit walked up to address the contestants who were possibly half a million individuals. Really everyone longed for the prize, his school. I noticed the shock in the lady's face when she spotted me among the men.“Hey what’s your name, small boy?” while the other guys laughed.“I’m Leo,” I answered. “Okay I believe you are fit for what we are here to do” she said and turned to the rest of the crowd.“The contest will kick off in an hour's time, get yourselves lady, anyone defeated goes home straight”. Just in time, the contest resumed. I could swear I saw him.Yes, it's him. Alpha Daman. So many guards walked with him, two were in his front. He walked in their midst with slow graceful steps. He wore a black cloak with a bold D on its chest.I was freaked by his look. He is really young, and terribly handsome, and hi

Heira’s pov.In the moving plane, I sat with my friend Nadine who was flipping the pages of a magazine. Oh I can’t wait to get home, I can’t wait to see mum again. It’s been more than eight months now since I left home. I closed my eyes and listened to the music “perfect” by Ed Sheeran, my head phone connected to my ears, I loved it as the plane soared in the sky. “Oh! take a look Heira, Daman got ranked as the youngest billionaire in the world” Nadine said with a tone that was almost a scream. “Daman? Who’s that? is he a musician?” Heira asked, taking a bite of the burger in her hand.“Seriously? Who doesn’t know Daman?”“This is his picture” she showed me the magazine. “Wow, he is handsome,” I said, staring at the guy.’s image.“Come on bae, you don’t just say it like that, the guy is damn so hot, I heard from those who have seen him, that you can’t stare at him without drooling.”“Okay?” I said reluctantly, taking another bite of my burger. “He is very powerful and possesses g

  • His pretty Luna   CHAPTER TWO

I walked through the balcony to deliver a scroll to Daman’s throne room, I heard his voice cold and unnerving as ever speaking with the guards. I hid by the door. “We found the culprit my lord, her name is Kayla Anderson, one of the students”. Ethan replied facing downwards. Alpha Daman stared up at Ethan, a painful glint in his eyes.“Where is she?”“She escaped, before we could find out. I apologize, my Lord”. “And her household?” He cut Ethan off coldly. “She’s the daughter of king Anderson, the ruler of a large kingdom. She has only one sibling called Heira” Ethan said. “Get my white horse ready.” He ordered and took up his sword lying on the table. Instantly my feet froze where I stood, I stopped breathing, my whole blood stopped flowing instantly . I turned and stared around. He was walking out. I knew from the sound of his steps. Oh! no I trembled. I looked for a place to hide but there was no place. If I turn and run away he would definitely know someone was there. He mi
