Chapter Nine

Alpha Daman.

In a slightly dark chamber. The wind was getting heavier. The room got darker. I stood and watched the short bald headed man in front of me. As he mixed substances and stared at the open pages of the book. I grew impatient watching the man.

“I am sorry, my Alpha, it’s almost done” he mumbled each time his eyes lids puckered in concentration. I stood there, my eyes pinned on him with a clenched jaw, my hands crossed at the back.

The wind got heavier, it rushed in through the open window giving the room a cozy feel.

Zeus coughed, a croaky sound to clear his throat. He stared up. It was so apparent that he was being careful enough to avoid getting on my nerves. His eyes stared up towards my direction his head was slightly bowed.

“My Alpha.. I…I” he stuttered trying hard to mask the fear he felt.

“What did you find, Zeus” I asked, my whole attention fixed on him. He peered at the book again before speaking up.

“ The arrow used on you wasn’t just an ordinary weapon”

“I know that already, Zeus” I interrupted him coldly, getting instantly impatient with the old man.

“The weapon belong to a dark witch. Sapphire. It was not the young girl you punished that attacked you. The girl was innocent” he said. I stared up at him shocked. Sapphire that name. Sounds familiar. It belongs to my mother. That bitch.

The charms on the weapon are strong, due to that you have lost all your powers.” The old man picked his words carefully.

“The poison of the weapon has stained your blood. Therefore the curse will keep hunting you down slowly and painfully.”

I stared at him.

“What can be done?” I asked my voice low.

The man stared at the pages of the book again. Flipping the brown colored sheets. Straining his eyes over the contents of the book. He stopped and stared up.

“According to the moon goddess decree, You share destiny ties with a young girl. The curse can only be healed if she willingly offers herself to you. And you have sexual intimacy with her. Only her blood can cure the curse” he explained. The man’s words sank deeply into me. As I stared at nothing in particular buried in thoughts.

“Who is she?” I asked.

The old man bent to his book again my eyes pinned on him he glanced at some pages.

“ I am sorry, My Alpha” his words sparked more curiosity in me.

“The moon goddess did not reveal to me what name the girl bears. But She is the daughter of a broken warrior from a nearby pack, She bears a feather-like mark slightly above her breast. The mark is the only way to find her” he explained.

I walked to the window buried in thoughts. My hands crossed across my at my back.

“Zeus, there are over a billion girls on earth. How am I suppose to know this special girl”

For a moment the room was silent the old man search for the right words to say.

“My Alpha, I believe you will definitely cross paths with her.” He said.

“No one must know must have a breath of what was said in this room. You must keep that to yourself as a secret.”

“Yes Alpha” he bowed his head slightly.

“Not even your households must hear of these secrets,”

“I swear to it, my Alpha” he said.

By the time I got to my room, I had already been drenched in the rain which had begun pouring a while back.

Ethan, one of the guards walked in besides me and helped turn on the lights, giving the room some brightness; And then, I could see the lady on my bed, halfly dressed.

Without being told, Ethan bowed. The lady was determined to make sure she was retained.

she left the bed and went on her knees in front of me.

"Welcome, my lord" her head was bowed.

"It's my utmost pleasure to be in your room tonight. Please, tell me how I can serve you and make you feel better. I'm at your humble service, my lord".

There was so much passion in her voice as she spoke, one that cadenced with how desperate she looked in her red coloured undies.

I walked round her, observing her body status and confirming she was worthy of the bed. Of course, the boys knew better than to bring anything lower.

I ignored her as I walked over to my study table, pouring some wine. And the whole time I drank, the lady patiently stayed on her knees and awaited a response.
