Chapter 26

Esme

I fall into a peaceful sleep for the first time since being here it’s been a lovely get away but sleep has been very restless for me. I wake to a awful smell it pulls me out of my sleep in registers in my mind what that horrid smell is it’s a ROGUE! I’m now feeling alert the whole house is in darkness I contemplate turning my lamp on as I’m thinking of plan of action a movement catches my eyes in the corner of the room I’m a highly skilled warrior but before I can ready myself for the battle to begin. The unthinkable happens I’m jabbed with something in my arm and I’m unconscious almost immediately.
