Taking slow, noiseless and calculated steps through the stairs. Cameron moved stealthily to avoid getting in the way of the rest of her family. The day before had not been usual, as it was the regular yelling about how awful she was as a wolf.
Life hadn't been easy for her since her mother died, one would think her mother dying had put on a switch of despise in her father and also put a terrible tab on her. Her mother Elena Franklin had made it a point of duty to protect her from the evils of the pack, being a latent wolf was a terrible deficiency for a member of the eclipse pack. She was just as useless as a statue. It's believed that she wouldn't be able to render the pack any use. And that made her father feel extremely disappointed for birthing such a wolf.
However, today was a different day and she didn't want to indulge in any form of altercation between her and her family, especially her father. Just as she got to the foot of the stairs, positioning her backpack, her next step was to head out of the house when she heard a familiar clearing of throat behind her.
"Shit!" She muttered under her breath.
The person cleared her throat again, which meant Cameron needed to turn around. Doing her best to avoid any trouble in the early hours of a school morning. She turned towards her intending tormentor. Right in front of her was no other person than Samantha.
"And where do you think it is you are going?" Samantha glared, folding her arms over her chest.
Cameron felt the urge to scoff, "and how is that any of your business. You aren't my father!" She retorted
"See who is talking back." Samantha jested, rolling her eyes at her, seeing Cameron makes her angry Every Time. Despite the condition she was in, she still maintains an extreme beauty that makes Samantha jealous. All of the things Samantha didn't have Cameron had it; beauty, brains and a wealthy father. Franklin family was one of the richest in the pack and they were respected. The only clause is the main heir of the house who is a latent wolf; Cameron.
Samantha tries to deny the fact that she wasn't envious of Cameron, claiming that Cameron isn't just a likable person. Deep within her, she wished she would go far away. However, she felt grateful for the uncordial relationship Cameron had with her father Harry. It made it easy for her to penetrate his walls and be his favorite child despite not being fathered by him.
Both attend the same high school, and Samantha had made it a point of duty to make Cameron's life miserable, both at home and outside.
Cameron took a deep breath, "you know what, it's of no use talking to you. I will just pretend I didn't see you." She said walking away.
"You and I know I would report you for sneaking out." Samantha told her.
"Did you check the time at all? It's time for school." She growled.
"Don't be so fast, you have something to answer to." Her father's voice came from the top of the stairs.
Cameron's heart sped in her chest, it's been a while since she actually set eyes on her father. He had taken her far away from the main house to keep from seeing her face. Saying, she reminded him of her mother. Shouldn't that be a good thing? One would think she would be his best friend, but he decided to get married again to someone who had a daughter who is of the same age as her.
Ever since Samantha and her mother Eve came into their lives, her world spinned violently, dumping her into the trash can. They always had one thing or the other to say about her and it's confusing, since she always does all she can to avoid them.
"What are you talking about dad?" Cameron queried, her wolf already backing out on the sight of the father. Having her father come in front of her, meant trouble.
"What the hell did you do to my car?" Harry Franklin barked at his daughter.
Cameron looked from Samantha to her father, then back to Samantha again as their eyes locked. She could read the room judging by Samantha's reaction. A lie had been cooked up on her behalf again and she had been dished the delicacy.
"I don't know what you are talking about dad. I didn't leave this house all day." Argued Cameron.
"Don't you dare lie! I saw you drive it out with one of those useless young pack wolves gallivanting around town." Samantha countered.
Cameron felt the urge to pull her neck out, it was obvious the reverse was the case and that had been exactly what Samantha had been doing.
"I did no such thing." Cameron defended herself, her voice shaky at the unfairness she was being subjected to.
Samantha smirked to herself, knowing how Harry can be with Cameron she had reasoned dumping the blame on her. Since he wouldn't bother to check; the night before she had snuck out with her mate Jared after stealing the keys to one of Harry's favorite cars, a Phantom Rolls Royce. She had always wanted to have a ride in the car, most importantly with Jared. Ensuring the whole house was asleep, she snatched the cars and drove out to meet him. She switched sides with Jared and they both drove wildly into the streets, the intention was to make use of the car till their fill and return it back unscathed. Instead, they had been so drunk as Jared drove she had bent down to suck his dick. In the pool of pleasure, Jared had thrown his head to the back and within a blink of an eye slammed the car rear into a tree.
She couldn't bear to confess to such a heinous crime against Harry's favorite car. Something had to be done fast, knowing if he woke up the next morning all hell would let loose. With that in mind, as usual Cameron had come in as the easiest target. And she had been right about Harry losing his mind; he had not seen the car damage yet. She had sent a quick message to him when she returned saying; she saw Cameron driving in and sneaking back to the Arctic.
In his bid to find out if his car had been ruined, he came out of his room to head to the garage. Only to find Cameron fully dressed with Samantha by the stairs looking like she was stopping the culprit from running away.
Just as they all stood looking at one another, Samantha's mother Eve came out of the room. She gave her daughter a look. It was obvious Samantha had filled her mother in on what she had done and doesn't mind lying on her daughter's behalf.
"Why are you so quick to throw on a pity face after ruining things. You always make it seem like we are being cruel to you, it's obvious you have a thing against your father and wouldn't hesitate to ruin everything that he loves." Eve rebuked
"I swear on the moon goddess I know nothing about this. I didn't go anywhere with anyone. I was in my room all day studying for my test." Cameron kept on with her testimony.
Harry shut his eyes trying to keep his wolf in check as the sight of Cameron irked him badly, "I will find out myself if truly you ruined my car." With that being said, he moved down the stairs rigidly heading out to the garage with the rest of the family trailing behind him.
Cameron gasped, almost losing her breath at the sight of the garage.
Cameron wanted to curse at her luck so badly, it was almost as if things never fell in her place. Deep down she knew she had nothing to do with the present condition the car was in. Harry's Rolls Royce was totally battered, the beautiful white spotless car looked condemned. The entire rear was beyond repair.Harry clenched and unclenched his palm, Eve and Samantha noticed the movement and shifted back a bit. Whenever he was angry nothing stopped him from almost snuffing life out of the person. The last time he had lost his temper, and almost sent Cameron into a coma , had been a situation like this. It had happened about a year ago, when Samantha had thrown a party in the house while the parents were away on a vacation. The party got so wild, they had ruined some expensive artifacts in the house. Cameron, who had been away at her bestfriends Phoenix house for a sleepover, had returned home to a house looking like a dump site. Samantha had begged her to stand in for her instead, Harry
Franklin high school serves as one of Cameron's night mare. They had just resumed a new session and truth be told she doesn't miss it one bit. It might seem like a coincidence that the school was the same as her surname, however it is exactly named after her father. He had made great impact in every institution concerning eclipse pack due to his philanthropic act. In the packs bid to appreciate his help over the years, the high school had been named after him.One would think Cameron would be the most popular kid since her father practically owned half of the school, unfortunately she was the exact opposite unpopular and tagged as the social stigma of the school. It wasn't surprising since everyone at eclipse pack had a judgemental attitude towards whoever they feel was different from the rest of them. Cameron decided to be the most odd amongst them, as high as the population is only her stood out as the weakest of them.No one wanted to be friends with a weak wolf, who couldn't save
"Owww." Cameron groaned in pain, jerking at the touch of the spirit on her skin. They were seated in the gym changing room and had skipped their first periods. Due to Phoenix's insistence,Cameron had been forced to tell her the truth about what was wrong with her. Phoenix had forgotten she made a promise to her and had almost barged after Samantha.Knowing how much trouble that would cause her. She pleaded fervently for her to let it go, in her response she insisted on seeing the wounds and help her treat her.Phoenix kissed her teeth, "keep quiet and sit still."Rolling her eyes, "as your lordship pleases."Nursing on each scar the whip left on Cameron's body, brought tears to Phoenix's eyes she wondered what the poor girl did to deserve the awful treatment she gets from her own father.Cameron is a sweet girl which was too pure, however it seems most of the pack members including her family see that as a waste of time. She had a deficiency and wasn't worthy of being associated with
Sometimes Micheal did hate his job, but can't do much or complaints cause he worked to get there. His butts burnt half way in a bid to prove himself. Staring down at the pack files that laid In front of him, he released some of the other lesser packs weren't paying their dues right. He snorted, thinking of how much they are all playing with fire. Knowing he wouldn't hesitate to burn them.Closing the files, he stood up to grab drink from the fridge he had, had installed for situations like this In his office. He felt exhausted by the work he had compiled for him for the week. Swinging the beer, he gulped the content with his hands in his pants pocket watching the whole city as it bustled with activities. To deviate his attention whenever the work starts to get to him he stares out his thoughts taunting him.Questions of if he was doing enough nagged at the back of his mind. His thoughts revolved around too much darkness, they had consume the totality of him.He had grown up knowing wh
As Cameron and Phoenix walked into the lady's room. Phoenix strides toward the mirror and takes out her red lipstick. While Cameron stares at her, still glancing at her wristwatch now and then."Come on hurry up!""Relax girl, is not as if the teacher gonna reprimand us"Cameron rolls her eyes. "I have to be in class""I care about class but I care more about my looks""Who doesn't care about it?"Phoenix arched up her brow at her. She doesn't need to spell out that her dear best friend doesn't care about her looks and she doesn't entirely blame her. She knows her story and so Cameron just didn't have it in her."Don't give me that look""What look?" Phoenix feigns to be ignorant of her statement. "You know what I mean""Fine! I do" Phoenix said. She put her lipstick into her bag and glanced at Cameron through the mirror. "Are you seriously not going to come to the party?""We've talked about this Phoenix""We did but then you didn't say anything specific""My Dad's not gonna let me
Silence erupts in the room as Cameron strolled down the stairs, tip-toeing into the living room. She could hear the sound of cricket as the door opened. That was Samantha. She was sneaking out of the house as well to attend what Cameron assumed to be the same party Phoenix invited her to.When the door closed, Cameron dashed out through the back door. she was sure Jared and Samantha wouldn't dare pass through so as not to wake the neighborhood with the sound of his old truck.A car Cameron would option for the car junk but Samantha wouldn't. She called it sporty and would often make out with Jared in the backseat. Cameron had caught them once or twice but she had kept it to herself. The last thing she wanted was to implicate Samantha. Although she doesn't care so much about her sister, the last thing she wanted was for the tables to turn around and for her father to be on her neck.As she watches Samantha and Jared speed off, Cameron exhales. That was so close but she had managed to g
Cameron's eyes widened and she stiffened in his arms as Liam kissed her for a moment. Realizing herself, Cameron pushed him backward and landed a hard slap on his face."Are you out of your mind?"Liam smirks and quickly captures her lips once again, he explores the corners of her mouth and Cameron's eyes fly further open. She struggles, trying to break away from him but Liam holds her still, biting gently on her lower lips and she opens her mouth for him to gain further access.Liam kissed her, exploring the treasures hidden in her depth, and tasted every corner of her mouth. She opened her mouth feeling the butterfly kisses he bestowed on her. Cameron has never felt anything like this. No one has kissed her like this and so she couldn't resist him any longer. Cameron kissed him back and moving gently, she followed his trail. The intense sensation of his deep kisses evoked the weekend on her knees and she held him. Their kisses built anticipation of more passion to come. But Cameron
Before Cameron could fathom what was happening, she was already in Liam's apartment and he had guided her into his cozy well furnished living room."Do you live here alone?""Yes I do"Cameron nods her head looking around, she strides towards the ottoman, running her hand gently on it while still locking eyes with Liam to make a move at her. She smiled looking at the figurines in his living room. "You have a nice place" she licks her lips and Liam arches up his brow at her. He wanted her to make the first move since she agreed to come home with him. "Are you going to gawk at me all night?""Maybe" "Do you have a boyfriend?" Liam couldn't help but ask."Are you jealous?" Cameron said hoping she could see right through him but she couldn't. Liam was a hard man to crack."I'm not jealous. I have never been jealous""Do you have a girlfriend?"Liam takes a step closer to her, he didn't want the night to go on with them only talking."I have a lot of women around me. Why? Are you jealou
