Cameron wanted to curse at her luck so badly, it was almost as if things never fell in her place. Deep down she knew she had nothing to do with the present condition the car was in. Harry's Rolls Royce was totally battered, the beautiful white spotless car looked condemned. The entire rear was beyond repair.
Harry clenched and unclenched his palm, Eve and Samantha noticed the movement and shifted back a bit. Whenever he was angry nothing stopped him from almost snuffing life out of the person.
The last time he had lost his temper, and almost sent Cameron into a coma , had been a situation like this. It had happened about a year ago, when Samantha had thrown a party in the house while the parents were away on a vacation.
The party got so wild, they had ruined some expensive artifacts in the house. Cameron, who had been away at her bestfriends Phoenix house for a sleepover, had returned home to a house looking like a dump site.
Samantha had begged her to stand in for her instead, Harry had never had any issues with her then and she didn't want to be on his bad side. Cameron felt moved seeing the greatest egoistic witch Samantha plead for her help, in her naive state she had boldly told her father the party was held by her.
In his rage, Harry had sent Cameron flying across the room with one swift blow making her hit her head against the wall. She lost consciousness almost immediately. Her wolf had shifted to keep her alive, the whole household thought she was going to die.
To teach her a lesson, he had kept her up in the Arctic and refused to let her dine with the rest of the family.
Seeing his face morph into an emotionless mask, Cameron knew she wasn't going to escape the wrath of her father. She begged ceaselessly in her mind trying to look into his eyes for him to sense her innocence. But Harry looked blinded with rage.
"You Bitch!" He growled, slapping her hard across the face. He couldn't believe his car was ruined, that was his favorite toy in the garage and prided himself in it whenever he drove it around. He couldn't believe the car had become condemned.
Cameron sniffed, feeling dizzy at the effect of the slap. Staggering back to face her father, she still tried to defend herself.
"Dad...I..."
"Shut up." Harry interjected, in a jiffy he grabbed her neatly packed ponytail towards the basement area.
Cameron fought ceaselessly knowing what that meant she kept repeating that she knew nothing about it. But Harry wasn't listening, Samantha and her mother shared an inner smile as they walked behind the father and daughter duo.
"I will make you pay for this." He told her, still pulling at her hair violently.
Being a respected Gamma in the pack, he knew it would be unheard of to have his daughter being bashed nastily. Because of such talks spreading across the pack, he made the basement his punishment arena. There he had in store a whole lot of tools that could do bodily harm.
The basement looked like an abattoir with different tormenting tools to make a grown man shiver. Pushing Cameron to the floor violently, he headed to a part of the wall where he kept his whips. Pulling out an extra thick and long whip, he swiped it at Cameron's back making her let out a painful scream.
"Please daddy, I promise it wasn't me." She pleaded.
"Stop lying, you conniving bitch. I warned you to not step on my path." Harry kept on whipping her continuously.
Cameron tried to protect herself, but there was only little she could do without the whip reaching every path of her. Samantha watched the whole scene as it unfolded, smirking to herself at the corner of the room.
"Was Jaden hurt?" Eve asked her daughter, she didn't know the exact picture of what went wrong. But since she had gotten the text from Samantha, she knew she had indulged in an accident.
Samantha snorted, "nah, we are both fine. This would make my day." She giggled pointing at Cameron, who was writhing on the floor in pain.
" I promise to make you pay for every inch of that car. Your blood and sweat would dry up, until you get my car back." He continued still whipping her.
Cameron had lost the cause to keep fighting it, she only shut her eyes tightly as each stroke landed on her back. Her wolf whimpered at the effect of the whip, she muffled her cries with her palm to keep her voice from waning.
Harry didn't stop with the whip, until he was getting tired himself. The sight of his daughter just always made his heart churn. He had loved Elena so much, seeing the same reason why he had lost his dear wife looking so much like her. Just made him always wish Cameron was never born.
"This won't be the end." He told her, leaving the basement after dumping the whip on her. The rest of the family followed behind him throwing sneers at Cameron.
Cameron sobbed bitterly with her head bowed to the ground. These were dire times she wished her mother hadn't bailed out on her and died. It was one thing to be beaten roughly all because you probably are a continuous offender.
But her case was entirely different, the car had a camdash that could prove the truth about whomever had driven the car. Instead, her father had decided to believe mere speculations and take it upon himself to snuff life out of her.
She pulled herself sitting in a corner across the room, Cameron wished she had someone to cry to. It would be disappointing to talk about her ordeals to anyone in the pack. It was almost as if everyone in the pack was out to get her for one reason or the other.
At eighteen, being in senior year at high school she still can't find her mate. No one would want a latent wolf for a mate anyways. Her whole life was a mess, and it made her feel unloved and unlucky.
Feeling like she had wallowed in self pity enough, Cameron carried her battered body gently moving towards the house, she hoped none of them was nearby.
They might change their mind and unleash more pain on her. To her relief, they had all gone to their separate rooms. Heading to the bathroom as soon as she got into the house, she tore out her blood stained white shirt, checking the deep scars her body would end up having.
Taking out a relief cream from her drawer she gently applied it on the part of her body her hands can reach. Just as she was about to return to the tub her eyes caught sight of the pack of pain relief pill and cream she had. Tears formed in her eyes, dropping on them.
Pushing it back in, she changed into a white long necked top to hide her scars, tucking it In with the skirt that served as her school uniform. Combining her hair, she released the hair making it fall. She tried to avoid any pulling as her scalp ached badly.
Dabbing at her face with some concealer, she tried to keep a normal face forcing a smile on it. She grabbed her back pack and headed out of the house, with a burning pain in the marks on her back.
Franklin high school serves as one of Cameron's night mare. They had just resumed a new session and truth be told she doesn't miss it one bit. It might seem like a coincidence that the school was the same as her surname, however it is exactly named after her father. He had made great impact in every institution concerning eclipse pack due to his philanthropic act. In the packs bid to appreciate his help over the years, the high school had been named after him.One would think Cameron would be the most popular kid since her father practically owned half of the school, unfortunately she was the exact opposite unpopular and tagged as the social stigma of the school. It wasn't surprising since everyone at eclipse pack had a judgemental attitude towards whoever they feel was different from the rest of them. Cameron decided to be the most odd amongst them, as high as the population is only her stood out as the weakest of them.No one wanted to be friends with a weak wolf, who couldn't save
"Owww." Cameron groaned in pain, jerking at the touch of the spirit on her skin. They were seated in the gym changing room and had skipped their first periods. Due to Phoenix's insistence,Cameron had been forced to tell her the truth about what was wrong with her. Phoenix had forgotten she made a promise to her and had almost barged after Samantha.Knowing how much trouble that would cause her. She pleaded fervently for her to let it go, in her response she insisted on seeing the wounds and help her treat her.Phoenix kissed her teeth, "keep quiet and sit still."Rolling her eyes, "as your lordship pleases."Nursing on each scar the whip left on Cameron's body, brought tears to Phoenix's eyes she wondered what the poor girl did to deserve the awful treatment she gets from her own father.Cameron is a sweet girl which was too pure, however it seems most of the pack members including her family see that as a waste of time. She had a deficiency and wasn't worthy of being associated with
Sometimes Micheal did hate his job, but can't do much or complaints cause he worked to get there. His butts burnt half way in a bid to prove himself. Staring down at the pack files that laid In front of him, he released some of the other lesser packs weren't paying their dues right. He snorted, thinking of how much they are all playing with fire. Knowing he wouldn't hesitate to burn them.Closing the files, he stood up to grab drink from the fridge he had, had installed for situations like this In his office. He felt exhausted by the work he had compiled for him for the week. Swinging the beer, he gulped the content with his hands in his pants pocket watching the whole city as it bustled with activities. To deviate his attention whenever the work starts to get to him he stares out his thoughts taunting him.Questions of if he was doing enough nagged at the back of his mind. His thoughts revolved around too much darkness, they had consume the totality of him.He had grown up knowing wh
As Cameron and Phoenix walked into the lady's room. Phoenix strides toward the mirror and takes out her red lipstick. While Cameron stares at her, still glancing at her wristwatch now and then."Come on hurry up!""Relax girl, is not as if the teacher gonna reprimand us"Cameron rolls her eyes. "I have to be in class""I care about class but I care more about my looks""Who doesn't care about it?"Phoenix arched up her brow at her. She doesn't need to spell out that her dear best friend doesn't care about her looks and she doesn't entirely blame her. She knows her story and so Cameron just didn't have it in her."Don't give me that look""What look?" Phoenix feigns to be ignorant of her statement. "You know what I mean""Fine! I do" Phoenix said. She put her lipstick into her bag and glanced at Cameron through the mirror. "Are you seriously not going to come to the party?""We've talked about this Phoenix""We did but then you didn't say anything specific""My Dad's not gonna let me
Silence erupts in the room as Cameron strolled down the stairs, tip-toeing into the living room. She could hear the sound of cricket as the door opened. That was Samantha. She was sneaking out of the house as well to attend what Cameron assumed to be the same party Phoenix invited her to.When the door closed, Cameron dashed out through the back door. she was sure Jared and Samantha wouldn't dare pass through so as not to wake the neighborhood with the sound of his old truck.A car Cameron would option for the car junk but Samantha wouldn't. She called it sporty and would often make out with Jared in the backseat. Cameron had caught them once or twice but she had kept it to herself. The last thing she wanted was to implicate Samantha. Although she doesn't care so much about her sister, the last thing she wanted was for the tables to turn around and for her father to be on her neck.As she watches Samantha and Jared speed off, Cameron exhales. That was so close but she had managed to g
Cameron's eyes widened and she stiffened in his arms as Liam kissed her for a moment. Realizing herself, Cameron pushed him backward and landed a hard slap on his face."Are you out of your mind?"Liam smirks and quickly captures her lips once again, he explores the corners of her mouth and Cameron's eyes fly further open. She struggles, trying to break away from him but Liam holds her still, biting gently on her lower lips and she opens her mouth for him to gain further access.Liam kissed her, exploring the treasures hidden in her depth, and tasted every corner of her mouth. She opened her mouth feeling the butterfly kisses he bestowed on her. Cameron has never felt anything like this. No one has kissed her like this and so she couldn't resist him any longer. Cameron kissed him back and moving gently, she followed his trail. The intense sensation of his deep kisses evoked the weekend on her knees and she held him. Their kisses built anticipation of more passion to come. But Cameron
Before Cameron could fathom what was happening, she was already in Liam's apartment and he had guided her into his cozy well furnished living room."Do you live here alone?""Yes I do"Cameron nods her head looking around, she strides towards the ottoman, running her hand gently on it while still locking eyes with Liam to make a move at her. She smiled looking at the figurines in his living room. "You have a nice place" she licks her lips and Liam arches up his brow at her. He wanted her to make the first move since she agreed to come home with him. "Are you going to gawk at me all night?""Maybe" "Do you have a boyfriend?" Liam couldn't help but ask."Are you jealous?" Cameron said hoping she could see right through him but she couldn't. Liam was a hard man to crack."I'm not jealous. I have never been jealous""Do you have a girlfriend?"Liam takes a step closer to her, he didn't want the night to go on with them only talking."I have a lot of women around me. Why? Are you jealou
"Yea Rosa talk to me" Cameron doesn't need to turn around to put a name to that familiar voice. She could tell who it belonged to, it was Liam and that made a smile form on her face."I didn't mean that Alpha Liam""What did you mean then?""Nothing… well I… I–""I returned and found you poisoning the heart of my guest. Cameron"Cameron turned around and gazed at him. He looked even hotter than last night. Was all Alpha's like this? She was so happy he was the one who did it first with her. Although Last night wasn't epic like she had thought. She didn't dread it either but instead wanted to repeat it with him."Rosa didn't mean it that way""How else did she mean it?" He arched his brow at her and Cameron couldn't bring her lips to move.He intimidated her and made her feel so Little. She had thought Samantha and Phoenix made her feel so little but no. It was Liam, his demeanor was intimating and his looks made her feel so out of place in his life. If only she had it in her like Sam
