Akira’s POV

This is one of the days I regret being born. Ever hate your existence? I hate mine. As far back as my memory could take me, all I remember is being maltreated and belonging to no one at all. No family, no siblings and no friends. Just some lowly dirty omega no one wants to associate with. Other girls my age usually have a best friend to help them feel better, but then there’s me; the cursed omega everyone hates.

I was instantly brought back to reality by the sting of my master’s whip on my back. I crawled forward in so much pain trying to escape the agony but it felt like an impossible task. I cared less about how the ground was dirty and the only thing on my mind was to escape this cursed life.

I looked up to him, my eyes pleading for mercy but his anger was obvious and I wonder what exactly my offense was this time. He had a cruel smirk on his face as he towered over my weak body deriving joy in what he did.

“You useless wretch! You are of no use to me!” he spat. His saliva splattering all over my face but that wasn’t a problem to me. I was used to it already and the only thing I wanted to stop was the whipping.

“You made my guest make fun of me for having a weak slave that can barely get anything done without messing it up.” he continued with another whip landing on my back again. I felt so weak due to the wolfsbane laced on the whip he used to inflict pain on me. He ensured he always had his whip laced with wolfsbane so that my injuries would not heal fast.

“I should sell you to someone who would keep you in check. Maybe, just maybe you might be better.” he spat again and all I could do was whimper in pain. Nothing he said mattered at the time because my body was already too weak from the pain I felt all over.

While the whole drama was going on, my stomach growled. ‘Not again’ I muttered under my breath. My master has denied me food for about three days and I barely survived on just water till this present second.

“What was that?” he asked, hearing the sound of my stomach non-stop growling.

“Nothing Sire.” I responded hastily before he had the chance to whip me again. At this point, I doubted if I could take any more whipping.

He raised his hands up like he was going to whip me and I whimpered in fright and stayed as still as I could, trying so hard not to provoke my master.

The minute I thought he wasn't going to whip me, I felt a very loud thud on my back and I moaned in agony. I lacked the strength to sob and the only thing I was left with were mere prayers to the moon goddess.

“This is very exciting, do you like it?” he asked me, smiling so wide.

I shook my head from feeling so much anguish, he went on dragging me and whipping me. He did as he liked and I just remained there hoping for a rescue. He had me dragged around with my back filled with so much cut as I bled from the injuries I obtained.

I noticed my master suddenly came to a halt which led me to look up slowly. My eyes met with that of the alpha supreme. I suddenly felt an electrifying connection between myself and the alpha supreme and I wondered if he felt it too.

Our eyes stayed locked in and I would have bet with my life that he felt what I felt, yet he just stood there staring at me.

“Look away you animal.” my master’s voice cursed and i turned to the side immediately to avoid another whip. It was enough that I felt really embarrassed being before the alpha supreme in this manner. The best I could do was avoid being whipped again.

I heard a growl from the alpha supreme which made it obvious that he hated the way I was being treated by my master. He walked towards us and circled around us, making my master tremble in so much fear.

I had no idea what that was about but it was evident that my master was scared to his bones. “I already enforced a law that prohibited slavery and torture, why do you have her treated like this?” the alpha Supreme’s voice echoed in the air.

“I… I'm… we…” my master stuttered so much that he could barely say a word.

“I’ll ask again, why are you brutalizing this wolf?” he asked again with a coaxed voice.

“She stole from me.” he blurted out and my eyes instantly widened from the blatant lie he just told.

“That is a lie.” I heard a voice echo from the other side.

“Yes, he is lying.” another voice echoed.

“Punish him.” a third voice echoed which prompted me to look up.

I could see they were the wolves that fed me wherever my master starved me. They must have been tired of how badly he treated me.

“Take him to the dungeon.” the alpha supreme commanded his shoulders instantly.

I heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing that, happy that the moon goddess finally heard my cry.

I wanted to thank the alpha supreme but I could barely say a word. I had no idea if it was the excitement I felt from being free of if I was just too weak and hungry to say anything.

He looked at me and all I could do was plead for mercy with my eyes while I laid on the floor helplessly.

“Help her up and take her to the palace. The royal physician should begin her treatment immediately.” he instructed the guard that was left with him.

“The royal physician?” the guard asked for confirmation.

“You heard me right, Lukas, yes. The royal physician.” the alpha supreme resounded.

The guard wasted no time in carrying me up on his shoulders like I was some feather.

We soon arrived at the palace and I was taken to the chambers of the alpha supreme. My body was matted with blood and my injuries were deep.

The royal physician wasted no time in telling his female apprentice to thoroughly clean me up before he started treating me.

After a few minutes, she was done with the clean up and she called him to come treat me. He did so cautiously but he had a bitter expression on his face as he did so. I could not read his thoughts but it was obvious that he wasn't happy with what he saw.

After treating me, he walked towards the direction where lukas stood. “Her injuries are severe and the chances of her survival are slim. Who asked you to bring her here?” I heard the physician speak to Lukas.

“My Lord asked her to be brought here, do I tell him these exact words?” Lukas asked him.

“Yes, he needs to come see her just in case she doesn't make it” the physician said to Lukas and he wasted no time in leaving to deliver the message.

In less than ten minutes, the alpha supreme arrived and I could tell that he wasn’t happy with what he was told due to the facial expression he had on.

“What is this I hear?” he asked the physician and the physician repeated the exact same words he said to lukas.

“I do not care how you do it but she must not die.” the alpha supreme instructed him.

“I’m sorry, Alberto, but this is beyond me. Her wounds are months old and filled with infections. She is malnourished and lacking what she needs for recovery. Only the mercies of the moon goddess can heal her right now.” the physician explained.

The alpha supreme walked to me and I could hear the pounding of my chest from so much anxiety.

“I do not care how, but you must not die.” he whispered in my ear and it sounded like a warning. Fear gripped me and I wondered if my situation only became worse.

Alberto’s POVThe moon was high and it casted an eerie glow on the road as I rode through the marshes alone. I had lied to everyone to leave the pack house. I needed to see a witch who would help me find Sapphire. The guards believed I was heading to the northern borders for council. Fools. I had no interest in politics tonight. My soul itched with rage, and my blood burned with the need to find her. At this point, I cared less about any other thing. She ran from me. From me. And no one runs from the Alpha Supreme without consequence.I reached the base of the Hollow Hills just before midnight. The trees parted like they were making way. A faint hum hung in the air. It sounded low and ancient. I dismounted and approached the stone arch carved with runes long forgotten by my kind. She was waiting. The witch I mean. She stood by a fire that burned without smoke. Her robes were dark, her face was veiled, but I could feel her eyes.“You came alone,” she confirmed.“This stays between

Sapphire's POVPain shot through my head like a dagger. My body seized. My throat burned as a scream tore out of me. I wasn’t awake. I wasn’t asleep. I was stuck.Flashes of the colour red clouded my eyes. After so much struggling, I could tell it was blood. It soaked the ground. Wolves howled in agony. Fire tore through trees. I tried to move, to speak, to do anything, but I couldn’t. My vision dragged me forward like it had a grip on my soul. Almost as if that was what was controlling me. Then I saw Gonzalo. He just stood there at the center of the madness, arms raised, chanting words I didn’t understand. Symbols glowed beneath his feet. Around him, wolves knelt, trembling in terror. Then, the sky cracked open. Something ancient and monstrous broke through. I could feel the power of it deep in my chest. I couldn’t breathe. Then I saw myself. But older. My stomach was rounder. And beside me stood a child. No more than six years old. Their eyes were glowing silver. The storm circl

Sapphire’s POVThe scent of herbs and smoke lingered in the air. I sat on the edge of the cot with the blanket pulled around my shoulders, watching Elira stir something thick and green over the fire. My ankle still throbbed, but that wasn’t what kept me restless. It was Kael. Kael stood near the doorway, arms crossed, eyes locked on me like he was waiting for me to do something stupid.“Elira,” I called out softly, “your son, what did he mean by ‘not much time left’?”Elira didn’t flinch at my question. She poured the mixture into a wooden bowl and walked over. “Drink this.”“That’s not an answer.”Kael’s voice cut through the room. “Stop asking questions you’re not ready to hear answers to.” he spoke sharply. I met his eyes. “Then explain it. Why the warning? Why are you both acting like I’m about to explode?”He turned away. “You wouldn’t believe it if we told you.”“Try me.”Elira sighed and gently placed the bowl in my hand. “Drink first.”“No,” I snapped. “Not until someone te

Alberto's POVI strode through the halls of the palace, my mind was a storm of unease. Sapphire was gone. No letter, no sign, nothing. It wasn’t like her. Even when she was angry with me, she never just disappeared. Something was wrong.“Find her,” I ordered my men, my voice sharp as steel. They nodded and scattered, knowing better than to waste time.I turned toward the main doors, intent on visiting her parents’ home. Perhaps they had heard from her. Perhaps—“Going somewhere, Alberto?”I stopped in my tracks, fists clenching at the sound of that voice. Gonzalo. He stood just inside the palace entrance, a smug grin stretching across his face. He always had a way of showing up at the worst times, like a vulture sensing weakness.“I don’t have time for you, Gonzalo,” I said through gritted teeth, stepping past him.He moved into my path, blocking me with an infuriatingly casual stance. “Looking for your runaway mate?” His smirk widened. “That must sting.”I grabbed him by the collar,

Sapphire's POV When I woke, the first thing I noticed was the warmth. It enveloped me, totally different from the biting cold of the forest. My eyelids felt heavy, like they had been glued shut, but I forced them open, blinking against the soft glow of firelight. I was no longer in the woods, no longer lying in the dirt. A thick woolen blanket was draped over me, and I could hear the crackling of logs in a nearby fireplace.I pushed myself up on my elbows, trying to make sense of where I was. My body ached, and a dull throb pulsed in my ankle, but it was my head that felt the worst—like someone had taken a hammer to it. The room around me was small but cozy, with rough wooden walls and a high-beamed ceiling. A few shelves lined one wall, cluttered with jars and herbs, and an old rocking chair sat in the corner. But there was no one here. I was alone. I tried to sit up fully, but the room spun violently, sending a wave of nausea through me. My hand flew to my head, and I groaned, sq

Sapphire's POV The strange guy didn't answer my question, he just turned away like he was too scared to speak. I suddenly felt dizzy and lost my balance. The cold metal bars pressed against my back as I slumped against the side of the cage. I could feel every ridge and every rusted spot digging into my spine, the weight of exhaustion pulling me down. Around me, the other captives shifted and murmured, their voices were low and afraid. I didn't recognize most of themThey were all strangers with dirt-smeared faces and hollowed eyes. We were all in the same hell now, trapped together like animals waiting for slaughter. The air inside the cage was thick with the stench of fear and sweat. I tried to focus on breathing, slow and steady, but each inhale felt like dragging a knife across my throat. My hands rested on my belly, and I could feel the slight swell beneath my fingertips. The only thing keeping me tethered to myself. I whispered silent prayers for my unborn child, for strength
