CHAPTER 14

Elara's POV

"Dad? Where's my dad?" I asked as soon as I heard someone in the room talk. A voice had woken me up.

I turned to look at the man sitting beside me. "Where am I? Where did you bring me? Where's my dad? Tell me, where's my father?" I screamed, still trying to recall what had happened and how I got here.

Quickly, the man walked out of the room and returned with some nurses who calmed me down with a syringe and began to check my other vitals.

The injection worked. My body became weak and all I could do was watch these people converse. Slowly, and gradually, I began to remember what happened. I was in my father's car, heading into the school when.... Yes. This was it! My dad!

As soon as I recalled the incident, I began to cry profusely. My head couldn't understand what really happened back there, and my heart couldn't phantom if this was real.

I tried to speak to Mia, but she was probably too weak to answer. My whole body hurt. My dad had told me that it takes longer
