CHAPTER 9

Elara's POV

I arrived home feeling a bit nervous. Infact, too nervous to face my dad. He would definitely sense I was worried and would begin to question me

He was working on the TV. It got broken early this morning. Actually, I broke it as I hurriedly ran out of the sitting area. My father was calm and simply told me he would fix it.

"Hi dad." I said, covering my emotions with a heavy smile.

"Hey goldfish. You're back. Guess what? I fixed the TV. Some wires got disconnected and a few nots had to be tied back, and walllah, our TV is working just fine. How was school today?" He asked me, wiping his dirty hands off with a white wiper.

"Yeah. School was okay. Perfect as always." I lied. If he find out what happened, he would get really worried.

"You sure, Elara?" He asked me. He was now focused on making sure I was okay. It seemed like he suspected something.

"Yes pops. Come on, I wouldn't lie to you. I'm very fine." I assured him.
