It wasn’t a question, however, that he’d heard Micha. It was one that he didn’t hear her, or at least that’s what she suggested to herself… and while it hurt her too, speaking up for the sake of him regardless of their situation still hurt immensely. He didn’t come for her. She wasn’t his Little, like Micha said. They were in two very different worlds and maybe it just needed to stay that way.

It was times like these that he wished he wasn’t part wolf. His nose practically controlled all of his reactions. That and a finicky wolf that was just as reserved about things as he was. The cloth shimmered only slightly in the bathroom under the fluorescent light. It picked up the undertones of her turquoise tiled floor and walls but nothing else seemed so telling about it. He should have just chucked it in the garbage on the way in, tied it up or burned it… both ideas still stuck out heavily in his mind. He still could. He could travel back to where they used to be and light the dreadful thing on fire; burning it for even his goddess to see.
