The Lycan King Wants Forever

SANDY:

Oswald laid on top of me after making love with him while grinning from ear to ear, both catching our breaths. He was heavy, but I loved it. 

"That was amazing, babe," he whispered in my ears, feeling how his manhood turned soft. Earlier, he had taken me over again, until I was sore. 

I had given my virginity to him after promising that I would give it to him when I was ready. And that was it now. 

Do I regret my decision? I did not know I was certain he would not hurt me. He loved me. We have loved each other since the day we found out we were mates and that was three years ago.  

I did not know if my family was against our relationship or not. They had been telling me to reject him since they wanted me to marry the Lycan King of the neighboring castle. And whenever they mentioned the Lycan King, there was fear in their eyes.

Fear for what? 

One day, I jokingly asked why they wanted to push me to wed the Lycan King, but most of the time, their lips were sealed.

Which made me think. If they will not say anything, I will fight for my love towards my mate. Alpha Oswald.  

"D-Did I...did I make you happy?" I asked, nervously and pulled up the blanket towards my chin to hide my embarrassment of being naked. 

He rolled to his side and glanced at me while using his fingers to brush my cheeks. 

"Of course,” he whispered and stared at me longingly. 

I was right to give myself to him. On my own birthday. 

“Why would you be? You know I wanted to take care of myself for a long time. You made me wait for what? Three years," he said with a chuckle. "No man in their right mind would be able to wait that long. If I did not love you enough, I already tossed you a few ages ago. I am the alpha of my pack. It's not natural for us to wait. Remember how your Mom said to break up with me?"

Pulling the blanket up to my chin, I said, "I never listened to them. There is no way I would break up with you. You are my mate, Oswald. You're the only one for me."

He kissed me again on my lips while removing the blanket from my body. 

My cheeks burned with embarrassment, while telling myself that I would get through this.

Raw desire flashed in his eyes while his fingers trailed down my naked chest. 

I gasped and was about to pull the blanket back to me again,  when he said, "There's nothing to hide, babe. I saw everything. You made me happy today. Thank you."

My cheeks burned. "I'm embarrassed," I mumbled. 

"You don't have to be." He kissed me again and pulled away. 

Just like that? I thought…we would have another round.

My heart sank.

"Let me grab a shower. How about you? Care to join me, babe?" he asked while wiggling his eyebrows. 

I pulled the blanket again and he gave me a disappointed look. Nevertheless, he did not reprimand me again. 

"No. I am good."

Taking a shower with him needed a lot of courage on my part. Everything was new to me and I did  not want to force myself to do everything he wanted. 

Baby steps. 

Oswald was patient with me for three years, and I knew he would do the same— wait until I get ready once again. 

"Alright. I won't be forcing you now. I will be right back, babe. Get ready for another round," he muttered and jumped out of bed while whistling.

Giving him my virginity was the best thing I did. I was happy. 

I was sore all over and my stomach and legs carried all the evidence of the passionate night we had. There were a lot of bite marks. 

'We are now complete,' my wolf, Rina, expressed. ‘Don’t you reject him, Sandy,’ she said sharply. ‘Alpha Oswald loved us.’

I laughed. 

'Why would I reject him? Don't you think he might be the one to reject me? Our family does not hold any position in the pack, yet he accepted me for that.’

‘Exactly, Sandy. You have to make him happy. Always.’

I sighed softly and looked at the shower room. It was made of glass and from where I was laying, I could see the steam covering the glass. 

‘That’s the reason why I finally gave him myself. He is worth it, Rina. You are right. Our life is not complete because of him,' I retorted. 

Still, he did not even greet me on my birthday. Did he forget?

'Any plans of breaking the news to your family? Let's not hide him anymore, Sandy. It's time to tell your parents about Oswald. I'm sure they will accept him. He is the alpha of the Dark Sword Pack where we belonged.’

For three years, I was able to hide our relationship. My family wanted me to remain pure since I was already arranged with someone else. But how could I betray my mate like that? 

'Tomorrow. I will tell them.'

'Are you ready for what will happen, Sandra?' she asked, using my full name. ‘Given how they planned to marry you off to the Lycan King…will they approve of your relationship?’

The Lycan King. When I was with Alpha Oswald, I forgot about his existence. But now…Rina had to remind me of him. 

‘Mom and Dad can't force me to marry someone whom I don't have any feelings for. I didn't even know his face or what kind of man he was, Rina. So many people always choose Oswald.’

‘You need to tell your parents. Not me.’

I need to be brave. I'm certain Mom will not marry me off because she will know about me and Oswald. He was the alpha of our pack. 

'I don't know. Please help me, alright? You're the only one I have right now.'

I was in the middle of my internal monologue when Oswald's phone beeped. 

Glancing at the shower, I could still hear the waterfall. He was scrubbing his body, removing the dirt while humming some unknown song. 

The phone beeped again.

Grabbing my clothes, I put them on and then picked up his phone. 

'You know he does not like it when you open his phone,' Rina reminded me. ‘What if he finds out that you touched his phone?’

I did not forbid him from touching my phone or opening my social media accounts because I did not have anything to hide. But for Alpha Oswald, he did not want me to touch him, saying there was some private information revolving around the pack. Some classified information, according to him. 

Being an obedient mate, I did as I was told. 

Gulping, I answered, 'Maybe this is an emergency.'

‘Sandy. What if you inform Alpha Oswald? We don’t want him to get mad. I don’t like it when he gets angry.’

‘No, no. He will not get mad.’

We usually fought beacuse I did not want to give in when he wanted to fuck me. But I already gave myself to him. This will be fine, right?

My heart hammered against my chest when I did not listen to Rina. 

Why did he forbid me again? It sounded unfair on my part. Did he not trust me enough? Sooner or later, he will announce to the whole pack that I was his mate. So I have the right to touch his phone, okay? 

I opened the phone and read the sender's name. It was only X, but it showed a profile picture of a beautiful woman. 

My heart hammered against my chest.

'Don't think of anything else. Maybe that's her sister,' Rina reminded me. ‘That’s what I am saying. You should not open anything which does not belong to you. This might be the cause of an upcoming conflict.’

How will I know if I will not check? Closing my eyes, I was about to read the message but the phone was locked. 

‘It's locked.’

‘Then, open it.’

Oswald did not tell me the passcode, but sometimes, I would see how he was able to open it. I clicked some numbers, hoping that I was right. 

0302. The date is tomorrow. Our anniversary.

Wrong? 

Alright. Next attempt. 

0202. My birthday. 

Unlocked. 

My hands shook. 

My eyes went wide when it opened. The PIN was right? 

Wow. He remembered my birthday! 

‘Read the message,’ Rina urged. 

My breathing labored. 

A little part of me did not like what I was doing. This seemed so wrong, but my body liked it too. 

‘Come on, Sandy…Move your fingers.’

Closing my eyes, I did what was told. 

[Hi, babe. Happy second anniversary. I know you won’t forget this day since it’s also my birthday. Where will you take me this year? I loved the Paris trip we had last year. Already excited about your surprise getting his time. I love you so much. Denying to meet you soon.]

Cold dread washed over me.

Rina was dumbfounded as I was. 

Oswald cheated? For two years now? So the pin code was her birthday? Not my birthday?

The phone felt heavy in my hands as they slightly trembled at the revelation. 

I saw red.

My first instinct was to barge into the shower, drag Alpha Oswald and rip his throat. 

The most painful thing that your mate would ever do to you is betray you while you promise yourself that he's the only one for you. That your family or even any member of your family will not be able to separate you. 

I fought for him and this was the only thing he would repay me?

The shower finally stopped. Then, it was followed by a moment of silence. The rustling of the towel followed, but I could not stop myself from deleting the message or pretending that I did not read it. 

I was still shaken at the turn of events and stars with the shower. The steam hung on the glass wall and all I could do was wait at Oswald. 

A couple of seconds later, Oswald came out from the shower, looking fresh as ever, with a towel wrapped around the lower part of his body. Securely. 

“You want to take a shower, babe? The water is—”

He paled seeing his phone in my hand. 

“Babe…”

I hardened my expression. “Alpha Oswald. Care to explain this? Who is this woman?” My voice was surprisingly steady.
