CHAPTER 36

DAUNTED

"Give me your phone," Light instructed.

I didn't hesitate to handed him my phone. I gave a furtive look to what's he's typing and I am not wrong.

He messaged Alpha Jared that I'll meet with him by the end of the month. I pursed my lips and enjoy the shining water instead of letting what happened ruin the rest of my day. Out of frustration I went to one of the cabins and let my back hit the soft mattress.

I didn't know that I dozed off until I smell some sweet scent from the galley. I quickly look for my phone and saw it on the side table. It's already 12 noon. Few minutes later, Light called me for lunch.

During the trip going back home, I noticed a van following Light's car. It's the first time that we are being followed.

Maybe his securities? Colleagues?

Light is currently talking with someone over the phone. "Yes, I'll just drop her off and I'll be there."

"You can just drop me off the old house. I don't think I can last few more days in your apartment."
