Chapter 57
When Andrew returned with Suzanne, Ryan and Ethan were just finishing their punishments of writing 'I would never fight my teammate again' a thousand times.
"Suzanne!" Ashley rushed to hug her once she entered.
"Are you alright?" Ashley asked, searching her face worriedly.
"Hmm," Suzanne smiled and nodded. Her eyes briefly went to where Ryan was seated.
Guilt flickered in his eyes before he looked down on what he was writing.
"Suzanne!" Ethan got up from the chair he was seated on and made a dash towards her.
"I was so worried about you when that idiot showed up alone! Are you hurt?!" He asked searching her eyes inquiringly.
Suzanne noticed a small bruise forming on his forehead.
"What happened?" She asked instead, lightly touching his forehead.
"It's nothing," he said dismissively.

Ashley came upon Ryan who had collapsed due to the cold.She dragged him out of the shatters of ice walls that surrounded him and dumped him on the grass behind some rocks."Ashley..?" Ryan opened his eyes as the sunlight bathed his face."Are you okay now?" Ashley asked with her brows furrowed in concern.Ryan smiled as he rested his head back on the grass. "Before I got hit I managed to shut off one of CIN's ice gloves. So it's only one that's working, but since I aimed from a far place I'm not sure which hand it was. I think I fainted afterwards," Ryan told Ashley."We still have five minutes left, if we're all okay then we passed. It's not about taking CIN down but protecting each other," Ashley said."You're right." Ryan sat up and rested his back on the rock."I'm going to find the rest," Ashley said as she stood up.

"CIN really left us here?!" Suzanne shrieked, horrified."No, we thought he left us in our cozy bedrooms and he went back to bring us breakfast in bed," Ryan snorted."You better shut up now!" Suzanne snapped at him."Or what?" Suzanne sat up in her leafy hammock.Andrew had made a hammock each for everyone to sleep on out of broad leaves and some strong vines that were lying around.Of course Ryan had made a fuss about sleeping on a hammock made out of leaves but Ashley piled all their jackets and coats on his own hammock so that he could be comfortable.Ethan had yelled about Ryan being a brat and Ashley shared some cheery story about her childhood as they sat round the fire, before they all retired to sleep.Suzanne rubbed her eyes and she glanced out of the small square window.
