Thirty two

I woke up to an empty bed, 'Where is he?' I wondered as I listened thinking maybe he was in the bathroom, but no matter how long I listened, there was no sound coming from the bathroom.

I stepped out of the room and found mom eating an apple. "Good morning mom." I greeted her with a smile.

"Good morning princess. How was your night?" She asked winking and I blushed.

"Good mom, it was good." Looking around, "Mom where is Alexios?" I asked her.

"He left quite early this morning, he said something came up and he needed to go. He asked me to tell you as he didn't want to wake you up." I nodded biting my lips.

'Hopefully everything is alright with him.' I knew there was more to what he had told me last night, but since he wasn't willing to share much, I decided to trust and wait for him.

"What is for breakfast?" I asked walking into the kitchen.
