Chapter 6: Fun with a twist

Danielle's POV:

"So, where are we going?" Celine asked after we left the resto.

"Swimming!" Rein and Ashley shouted at the same time.

"Calm down, we just finished eating. We can’t swim right away." Laughing I said. They both pouted.

“Okay, how about this. Let’s go back to our rooms and change clothes. Then we’ll all see each other here. We’re going to wait for a few minutes, then we can swim.” Said Katherine. We all agreed to what she suggested.

“Okay then. We’ll head on our room. Catch you later!” I said goodbye and pulled Cyrille away.

"Bye!" They answer.

"So, what did you see?" Cyrille whispered suddenly.

"Huh?" I wondered.

“Earlier. What did you see?" She whispered again.

"W-what do you mean?" For some reason my chest felt like it was throbbing. I was nervous because of the way she spoke.

"Hey, calm down I'm just kidding." She said with a burst of laughter. “I was just asking, okay? I said what did you see when you stalked his I*?” She asked.

"O-oh." I just answered. The throbbing of my chest calmed down. "He has a girlfriend. He’s in a relationship" I answered.

"What a waste. Is the girl beautiful?" She asked. I shrugged.

"I do not know. But I think, yes. I'm not sure.” I answered and entered the elevator.

“Huh? Why?" She asked.

"They’re not facing the camera." I explain.

“Then how did you know they’re a couple?” She asked.

"Caption." Said briefly. She nodded and sighed.

“Oh, what a waste! I thought my NBSB best friend will finally have a lovelife.” She says.

“I told you Cy, I don’t have time for that lovelife. I would rather stay single for life than have an extra headache.” I answer with her. "Besides, I’m loyal to my Japanese husband." I added and giggled.

“Ah what. What's that name again?” She asked.

"It's Nishimura Riki." I said. I didn't realize that we were right in front of the door of our room because of the chatter.

“That’s child abuse, girl. I heard he’s only 15. Besh, you're 24.” She reminded me.

"You're harsh to me Cyrille!" I said and slapped her arm.

"Truth hurts." She said and laughed. I playfully rolled my eyes at her and went to my own luggage.

"What do you have for a swim wear?" She asked.

“Uh, I don’t know. I’m not sure.” I answered and opened.

I removed all the clothes on the top because for sure the swimming trunks were on the bottom. My eyes almost popped out when I saw that it was all about a swimsuit and two-piece. F ** k where's the rashguard?!

"Oh, why Dani?" Cyrille asked when she saw me spacing out.

"I don't have a rashguard." I whispered.

"Huh?" She asked in shock and approached me. “Oh, you have a swimsuit! That can be used for swimming!” She said.

“I don't wear that Cy. You know that." I said and rested deeply. "Maybe I shouldn't just swim—" Cyrille immediately hit me.

“You’re wearing this. And then we’ll cover it up. Then, problem solved! No one is not swimming. We will not leave here until you swim in the sea.” She said and stood up. "Get dressed quickly!" She ordered and actually even pushed me into the bathroom.

I don't want to swimsuitttttttt!!!!!

I frowned as I put on the swimsuit and looked at myself in the mirror. It’s color black and it’s laced. It hugged my body perfectly as if it had been measured. The color matches my skin. I won’t deny, it suits me. But arghh!

“Hey what are you doing there Daniell? Have the tiles eaten you? Let's go!" I heard Cyrille say and knock. I opened the door. My body shivered as I felt the coldness of the AC. I ran towards my bed and took the thin fabric there and wore it to cover up my swimsuit.

I looked at Cyrille and was surprised when I saw she’s already wearing her two-piece red colored bikini. She used a bath robe to cover it up.

"W-where did you get dressed?" I wondered.

“Here. Dzuhh.” She said using her “obvious” tone. My eyes widened even more.

“W-what?! Cyrille Bertiz what are you thinking?! There’s camera here!” I said and pointed at the CCTV camera.

"It's not working." She said. I raised my left eyebrow at her, so she explained. “There’s no light. That means the camera is off. You will know those CTTV’s are open when there is a red light.” She says. I looked at the CCTV, and she was right. The camera is off.

"Okay." I said.

"It's okay now? Can we go out?” She asked with a laugh. I just nodded.

"Oh wait!" I stopped. "Picture first!" I said and took her camera. I stopped for a moment to remember what happened earlier, but I ignored it and took a picture of Cyrille.

"Your turn!" She says. We traded. I posed once and put on my cover again.

“Let’s go!” Excited she said and pulled me out.

"Let's go for a walk first." Said Katherine. We all nodded. We said just walked, but because Ashley and Rein were so excited, they ran.

"Hey, your stomachs will hurt!" Celine said.

“Let them, Cel. They’re still childrens.” I said and giggled. The three of them just laughed too.

"So, what are you wearing and why are you so wrapped up there?" Celine asked and pointed to my cover up.

"Secret." I answered and laughed.

"She's in a laced swimsuit." Cyrille said with a smile.

"OMG are you serious?!" Celine asked in shock. “I feel like I want to go swimming too. Let's go!" She said more and Cyrille pulled us over. Laughing, Katherine followed us.

"Take it off!" Cyrille and Celine said at once. They also took off their robes at the same time. Celine is wearing a laced maroon two-piece bikini. I froze when they ran to me and pulled my cover up.

"Girls!" I shouted and tried to pull the cloth back, but they managed to remove it from me.

"Hey sexy." Cyrille was teasing me and laughed.

"Give me!" I said and tried to pick up the cloth, but they ran away. And me being me, I chased them. They ran to the beach. And when we got there, they immediately soaked me with water.

"Hey, we’ll join you guys!" Rein said and joined the others.

"Ahhh!" I froze and covered my face.

"Okay ladies stop that." Katherine stopped them.

“Let’s attack Kath!” Ashley shouted and now they are soaking Kath, who also tried to spray water to them.

It was like we were kids soaking each other and laughing. Even other people just laugh at us. After all, teenagers, wearing bikinis and swimsuits, are acting like children.

"Okay I'm so tired." Cyrille said and took a deep breath.

"Let's go deep!" Courtesy of Rein and Ashley.

The six of us swam over there in the deep part. It’s a high tide so even at the shore, it’s already deep.

I dive to the bottom. I miss swimming so much. Since dad disappeared, I haven't been to the beaches since my last memory that dad and I were together was at the beach. And it’s painful for me to think that maybe that won’t happen again.

I felt like something was sticking to my foot, so I looked at it. When I saw someone standing there, as in really standing, the woman in black earlier in the elevator. I quickly swam upwards.

I breathed deeply as soon as I reached the surface.

"Oh, you've been gone for a long time." Said Cyrille.

"Huh?" I wondered. What does she mean I'm long gone?

“You were under there for like 20 minutes. We thought you planned to sleep there.” She said and laughed.

“W-what? 20 minutes?” I asked in shock. My longest dive is only 10 minutes, I just can’t believe that I’ve been under there for 20 minutes, when the feeling for me is like just 5 minutes? And am I just imagining the woman I saw earlier below?

I tried to dive again, and the woman in black was no longer there.

Maybe I’m just imagining it.

"I’ll be staying there." I said goodbye and swam to the surface. I took my cover up and put it on.

"Hey there." I turned to the man walking towards me. I looked to my side before simply pointing to myself. The guy chuckled before nodding.

"Hi?" I said and looked at the ocean again.

"Are you alone?" he asked. I shaked my head and pointed to my friends who’s enjoying the cool water.

"I'm with my friends." I said.

“Then why are you here? Alone?” He asked. So, I looked at him. “A lovely lady like you shouldn’t be left here alone. Given that you’re wearing that.” He said and pointed the swimsuit. I clicked my tongue and looked at him with a smile.

“Are you flirting with me?” I asked. He smirked.

“Why? Is it working?” He asked. I smiled at him sweetly.

"No." I said and took back the sweet smile. “Go find someone else to flirt with. Leave me alone.” I said. I was shocked to feel his arm on my shoulder and his breath in my ear.

“Are you sure? I can see you’re bored. Don’t you want to play with me?” He asked huskily. I immediately removed his arm from my shoulder and stood up.

"You are rude! I don't even know you and then you hug me ?!” I sighed. He stood up and tried to hold me, but I immediately avoided him.

“Dude, you heard her. Leave her alone.” Someone spoke behind me.

“Start minding your own business. Can't you see my girlfriend and I talking?” Said the man.

Uh, excuse me?! The thickness of this jerk! Wait, let me slap him 5 times.

“I will repeat. Leaver MY GIRLFRIEND alone.” The guy behind me spoke seriosuly. The man was obviously surprised.

"Your boyfriend?" its question to me. I just raised an eyebrow at him. He was obviously embarrassed, so he hurried away. Because of that I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness." I said and took a deep breath. “Thank you—” I was surprised when I looked at him, the man who had taken a picture of me earlier appeared in front of me.

And d**n he’s topless.

“U-uy! You were the one earlier, weren't you?” I said. He smiled shyly and scratched the back of his ehad.

“Uh yeah. I’m Brandon, by the way.” He introduced and stretched his hand for a handshake. I smiled.

“Daniell. You can call me Dani.” I said and accepted his hand.

"Nice to meet you, Dani." He said and smiled.

"Nice to meet you too, Brandon."

"Dani!" I looked at my friends when they called me.

"Bro!" Brandon looked at his brother. We both realized that we were still holding hands so we both let go and gave each other an awkward laugh.

“So, uhm, see you when I see you?” I said. He nodded and waved goodbye at me. I also waved back at him.

"Who's that?" Cyrille asked.

"Oh, that's Brandon, he helped me earlier when some creepy guy approached me and flirted with me." I said.

"Wait, isn't he the one who took the picture of you earlier?" Said Ashley. "Ayieee Dani is blushing!" She was teasing. I jokingly scolded him.

“Heh! It's because it’s hot dzuhh.” I said and laughed.

"Really? Then why is your face the only thing that’s being red? Hmm?” Celine teases me. The others agreed so I laughed even more.

"Hey no ah!" I refused and simply touched my face.

“We’re going to leave you guys. We'll just go hunting for handsome. Hihi.” Rein said and giggled.

"Babush!" Ashley and Rein said. I just shrugged.

"Let's go to the hut." Said Katherine. The four of us walked over there. We also left our belongings there.

"Let me take a picture." I said and took the camera. After taking their picture I looked at it to examine if it’s blurred or not.

I frowned and looked at the screen carefully.

I didn't know if it was a dress or black hair on Cyrille's side. I zoomed in on it before looking at Cyrille's position again. I frowned when I saw that no one was there, and no one was passing by because our hut was at the far end, so what’s behind Cyrille is just a wall. The distance between the hut and the wall was also narrow so it was impossible for a person to fit in there.

What the heck is happening?
