Aurora POV

Text: You can run, but you can't hide, little wolf!

"Your shift is almost over Aurora; any plans for tonight?" Ollie, my boss, asks as he slips into the seat beside me, lifting my eyes from my phone as I process yet another text from an unknown number; this freak was starting to get on my last nerve. For months I have received cryptic messages. Messages meant to scare and intimidate me. Sighing, I look down at my phone as another message dances across my screen; rolling my eyes, I wish they had the balls to message from a number I could reply to, just once!

Text: Do you think we don't know where you are hiding?

"Earth to Aurora!" Ollie groans, turning to look at him I frown; he has evidently asked me a question and is waiting for a reply. Ollie looked the same now as he did five years ago when I started working at this run-down dump of a bar that he called home.

"Except the beer belly! THAT is bigger!" Ava, my wolf, chuckled, watching my boss through my eyes tensely, the messages getting to her too. What I thought started out as a joke was quickly becoming a nightmare. Dismissing my thoughts, I nodded for Ollie to repeat himself, forcing myself to listen this time.

I contemplated telling him the truth. A good book, a hot bath and an unlimited amount of wine were what my evening had in store to try and forget about my sicko stalker; I needed to decompress, tonight had been hard on my feet, but the glimmer in Ollie's eye told me he had other ideas for how we could pass the night.

"Why don't you tell me what you have in mind!" I laugh, Looking at my boss, his obsession with sunbeds was seriously getting out of control. He was beginning to look like he had changed race!

"More like a bloody oompa loompa!" Ava, my wolf, laughed in the back of my head, making me grin. She wasn't wrong, but I was not indulging her right now, placing my phone on the counter, I ignored the message that announced its presence with an ominous vibration.

"A couple of us are going to V's, fancy it?" V's was the 24-hour nightclub on the other end of town; Violet West owned it and ran it like she ran her coven of vamps; with an iron fist. Ollie being the mundane human he was, had no idea that creatures such as myself and Violet existed, let alone his favorite hangout spot was crawling with vermin; he was oblivious to the supernatural world that lurked in the shadows of our small city! Which is just how we supernaturals liked it.

"Not tonight!" I chuckled; I was lucky enough to get on well with Violet; she hated most werewolves naturally, but after leaving the Azure pack, I found myself needing to vanish quickly, and V had helped- For a price!

"Come on, Aurora; you can't leave me with Ollie here. You know, the second some dude in tight jeans and an even tighter top sashays by, he will ditch me!" My only friend Meg begged; shaking my head, I sighed, both of us knowing I would give in to her; I always did.

"One drink! It's 2 am! And not all of us can sleep all day!" I groaned, hearing the lie in my voice. I needed a drink; I needed to forget about the texts from my not-so-secret stalker. There were only two males that would be this determined to torment me. I just wasn't sure which one it would be; My ex-husband and current Alpha of The Azure Pack or his twin brother, who I had rejected brutally. Both of which blamed me for the death of their parents!

"Yeah, one drink!" Meg winked knowingly.

Smiling to the bouncer as he led us into V's, I instantly regretted not changing out of my knee-high boots and tight skirt that guaranteed a nice tip on busy nights at Red, as sleazy hands groped at me while I made my way through the club.

"Over there." Meg pointed to a table of men who were smiling and waving at us. Nodding, I made my way across the dance floor; dozens of sweaty bodies that stunk of sex and sweet liquor swayed with the beat and mingled together, making it impossible to see through the crowd.

"Fuck sake!" I roared, pushing a guy who had started to grind up against my legs. "Move!" I growled as he ignored my explicit request for personal space. He smelt like an armpit and looked worse! Cringing as his hands groped at my ass, pulling me closer to him; looking up into his dark soulless eyes, I smirked, seeing the flicker of fangs as he opened his mouth to speak.

"Fuck this!" I snapped, bringing my knee up and letting it collide with his balls. The scream that left his lips and filtered over the loud music made me smile, but not as much as seeing the dirty vamp falling to the floor on his knees. Grabbing a fistful of his sweaty dark hair that was covered in glitter and what I knew was blood, I pulled his head back, looking him in his empty eyes.

"I would rather suck his cock than yours." I grinned, nodding behind me to Ollie, who was facepalming as he watched the events in disbelief, nevertheless he seemed unsurprised by my outburst; it wasn't like it was the first time I had put some male in his place for touching me, and definitely wouldn’t be the last. With the vamp's eyes returning to mine, I let Ava flash to the surface, letting him know what I was.

"You're a..."

"Bitch? Yes, yes, she is!" Megan finished gripping my elbow and pulling me away. With a final tug, I let the vamp's hair go and waved playfully, blowing him a kiss over my shoulder as she dragged me off.

"I can't take you anywhere!" She huffed, nodding to the table and pushing me into the crowd.

"Try not to maim anyone else, please!"

"I see nothing has changed, Aurora!" A deep voice whispered into my ear in the chaos of the crowd; I couldn't have stopped my mouth from falling open if I had tried.

"Alec?" I whispered breathlessly, turning, expecting to see my childhood friend turned Alpha, ex-husband and suspected secret stalker, but he had gone.

"Aurora, get out!" Ava yelled at me, her senses going into overdrive.

"Did you see that guy?" I asked, spinning around and pulling Meg to me. "Did you see him?" I yelled frantically.

"The guy you kneed in the balls! Yeah! I did! He..." Cutting her off, I shook her arms and pointed in the direction that the voice came from.

"No, not that douche, the guy who whispered in my ear.." I gushed frantically.

"What guy Aurora? Are you ok?" She asked, genuine concern crossing her face as she searched my eyes; I knew she could see the fear and apprehension that swam in my ocean blue hues, but I couldn't reassure her; If that was indeed Alec, shit would hit the fan, what I was meant to say to her anyway!

'Oh, don't worry, it's just a werewolf stalker coming to drag me back home to be punished for a murder I never committed!'

"Alpha werewolf! Don't forget that!" Ava chipped in, making me groan.

"NOT HELPFUL, AVA!" I screamed aloud in frustration, spinning wildly to see where he had gone, to no avail. Pulling my phone out of my back pocket, I froze seeing two messages, regretting not checking the text that came through before we left, and I agreed to come tonight.

Text: I'll be seeing you soon!

The other time stamp said it was delivered 2 minutes ago, which caused my blood to run cold; he was here! And I was right. It was one of the Azure brothers!

Text: Nice boots, little wolf!

"We're fucked!" Ava whimpered.
