Chapter fourteen

Alexander breezed through the forest in his wolf. He hadn't stopped thinking about his mate for hours. He had made her cry and he detested himself for that.

He had felt alone and decided to let it out on a run. His wolf was mad at him for treating their mate in such a manner. He hated himself too but he just had to do it. He knew she would try to run away. He saw the fear in her eyes when he revealed he was the alpha.

He knew locking her up would only aggravate the already shaking relationship they had but he needed to keep her safe. His enemies were everywhere and letting his mate out of his sight was something he couldn't bear. She looked weak and he doubted she could protect herself out there. He will never forgive himself if something happened to her because he was unable to protect her.

He stopped by a small river panting heavily. He had gone beyond his limits. He didn't care. The pain was too unbearable.
