Aunt Raya grabbed Fraser’s wrist quickly.
“My son, stop it. Don’t speak words you’ll regret later.”
Fraser shrugged her off, “I’m not joking. I know exactly what I’m doing,” he said.
He looked straight at me, "Little kitten, just wait — I’m going to spoil you.”
His words sliced through my chest like cold glass.
I stood frozen in my seat. My fingers clenched into the fabric of my skirt.
Just as Clara rose in fury, Grandpa Elias raised a hand.
The men—my father, Uncle Wesley, and Grandpa—left the room, heading to the study.
Fraser glanced at me before following, his expression unreadable.
I sat there, a weight pressing on my chest. I couldn’t breathe properly. My throat felt tight, like I was swallowing glass.
They were talking about me like I was livestock. Something to be moved, repurposed, passed down.
Leo hadn’t even been buried for a full moon cycle.
Half an hour later, they returned.
Grandpa stepped forward and spoke in a voice heavy with finality.
My heart dropped.
I rose to my feet without realizing it.
I don't want another loveless marriage. Marrying Leo has already brought me so much pain. I don't think I can go through marriage again.
Tears sprang to my eyes.
“Violet!” my mother called softly, trying to calm me. But I couldn’t stop. The words poured out of me.
“You know I loved Leo. You know I did. I can’t just forget him like that. I won’t.”
Clara came to my side, placing a hand on my shoulder.
But Wesley's face hardened.
My lips trembled. I let out a bitter laugh.
Karson, my father, stepped forward.
No. He isn’t.
I wanted to scream that.
But everyone in the room—the elders, the uncles, the cousins—they all nodded. Agreeing. Approving. Only Clara stayed silent beside me.
No, I have to find a way to escape this wedding. I need to fight for myself this time!

The next day
I tried to speak with Fraser but did not get a chance.
At night,
Everyone got ready for the wedding.
"We need to keep the wedding news hidden from our rivals. We don't know when they will attack us."
They arranged the wedding in a village near the southern side. It was a private location with strict security. So no one could attack during the wedding.
My mother-in-law did not want to attend the wedding, so she stayed at home.
With tears in my eyes, I walked out of the pack house wearing a bridal gown.
My father suggested that Fraser and I ride in the same car where they would take their cars.
Fraser opened the car door for me with a wicked smirk.
“Come on, don’t make that sour face. As long as I’m with you, I won’t let any wolf lay a finger on you. Isn’t that a good thing?”
Of course not!
I’ve heard all about his wild nights — partying, flirting, sleeping with countless women. I really don’t want to marry a man like that.
I looked at him in that smug black suit, every inch the arrogant Alpha he was so proud to be. That title — Alpha — was the only reason my family picked him, as if power could ever make up for the kind of man he really was.
I shook my head while standing near the car. “Fraser, please. Don’t do this. Don’t marry me. Call it off—please.”
He noticed my sad look and let out a laugh. "It's not only my decision. Everyone wants this wedding to happen.”
I broke from inside after hearing him. He looked away from me and said,
“I’ll go in another car, little kitten. See you later.” he said, and walked away.
The cars left one by one. Everyone thought I was in Fraser’s vehicle.
I stayed behind for a few seconds, unable to move.
Then the driver opened the door. “Luna.”
I nodded and got into my car and leaned into the back seat.
My eyes welled up with tears. My chest hurt. My ring finger ached even though the ring was gone.
Hours had passed, and it was midnight.
I had no idea when I fell asleep while crying. So when the car hit something, my sleep was disrupted.
I looked at the road and noticed the other cars were far ahead of mine.
"What's going on?"
However, the driver ignored my question. Instead, he turned the car in the other direction, entering the forest.
I sat up quickly and asked, "Where are you going? Why are you driving into the forest?"
The driver accelerated the car, ignoring my questions.
I realized that the driver had backstabbed us and worked for one of our rivals.
Suddenly, the car shook violently and came to a halt in the middle of the forest, emitting a loud screech.
"Why did you do that?" I asked, thinking that he had come to reality.
The driver turned to me with fear in his eyes.
"We are under attack.”
"What!"
I was at a loss after hearing him.
Attack?
"I apologize, Luna. He would have killed me if I had not obeyed him."
Saying this, he got out of the car and fled, leaving me in the middle of the forest.
Who would have killed him? Who was the driver talking about?
With shaky hands, I opened the car door to get out and tried to save my life from the conspiracy.
But as soon as I stepped out, I was shocked.
There were so many wolves gathered around my car. They appeared aggressive, showing me their sharp teeth as if they were ready to attack me at any moment.
I froze in terror.
Despite their distance, I knew that they would attack me and kill me if I took one more step.
Out of nowhere, I heard something crunching behind me.
My heart started to pound in fear.
Who was behind me? Who had not shifted yet to kill me?
Was I going to die tonight?
My heart skipped a beat when I felt someone standing behind me.
Before I could gather my confidence and turn around, a black cloth came into my vision.
Someone wrapped it around my eyes in an attempt to obstruct my vision.
The person was a man. I could sense his strong cologne. But I could not detect his scent, as if he had hidden it before approaching me.
His hands brushed against my cheeks as he blindfolded me, sending shivers down my spine.
Who was he?
He leaned down to my neck and placed his lips near my right ear.
I gasped in terror when I felt his breath on my neck. I had no idea what he wanted from me.
Then I heard his cold, deep Alpha voice, which chilled me to the bone.
"Your husband died just a month ago, and now you are getting married again? Are you really that eager to be touched?"
“Who are you?” I whispered, my voice shaking.
He leaned closer, so close I could feel the heat of his breath. “You don’t recognize me, Violet?”
My heart skipped. That voice… it was familiar.
Daniel froze when he heard her. The temperature of the room turned down with his changing expression. His calm face turned furious. He grabbed the file and opened it.He started to turn the pages. His name was there. She was right. She indeed transferred the land to his name.Violet tried to observe his expression. She thought he would be happy. But he looked mad.Daniel shut the file with a noise that almost made her flinch. She composed herself and looked at him confused."What happened?" she asked. He lifted his gaze and met her soft eyes. His eyes turned cold, which shuddered her inside.Although she was too good to hide her emotion, she was startled by his reaction."Do you come here to return your favor, Mrs. Easton?"She blinked, not knowing what she did wrong. "That's your land..." she mumbled.Daniel let out a dark laugh. He leaned his back against the couch and threw the file on the table."I gave up that land like a charity. I don't need it anymore."Violet felt a pang in h
Violet forced her eyes to look away from them. Daniel's cold voice stabbed her heart. It was clear that he did not want to see her. But she was not aware that he was busy with this woman. She blinked her eyes a few times, trying to avoid getting emotional. There was another person in the room to whom she did not want to show her weakness."Daniel, didn't you say you are free for me today? Why is CEO Easton here? Don't tell me you are going to work again," Emily's coquettish voice echoed throughout the room.Violet shifted her gaze to her. She noticed how beautiful the woman was. Her body was like a supermodel and her skin was smooth like butter. She was wearing a dress that reached her thighs. Because she was sitting on the desk, her thighs were exposed to Daniel."I didn't call her here. She was eager to meet me," Daniel replied, holding Emily's hand to help her get down from the desk.Violet saw how delicately he was holding that woman's hand. She looked away from them and went stra
Violet got out of the cab after paying. The driver handed her luggage to her and left. She turned around and looked at the large and tall building. She had come here before, but today she was feeling different.Today the relationship between her and Daniel was different. They were mates. She glanced down at her luggage and felt embarrassed. She should at least go to the hotel to leave the luggage there. Because with this luggage, how would she enter the company? With a deep breath, she stepped into the company. She didn't cover her face with any mask, so everyone started to look at her. They knew her very well. She was the Luna of the East Flow Pack. When the receptionist saw her, she immediately rose from her seat."CEO Easton, you are here!"All the workers glanced at Violet. The women were envious of her beauty, while the men were gazing at her with fear and desire. She was someone they could only dream of. But they also knew they could not handle a powerful woman like her. They re
Violet walked out of her office room. Sam rushed toward her."Luna"She handed her bag to him and kept walking. Sam walked beside her."Did you complete all the paperwork?" she asked.Sam nodded her head. "Yes, Luna. Everything is set."When she was on her way to leave the company, everyone was watching her with awe. She looked so gorgeous in a black-colored dress. They used to think white suited her the most, but other colors could enhance her beauty. They kept bowing with nods when she walked past them."Alpha is back. She will soon hand over the position to him. It's better to start pleasing Alpha over her."Violet heard an employee's voice. Her steps halted. The employee was a young man and had been working in the company since Leo became the CEO.When he noticed that Violet stopped walking, he gulped, lowering his head in fear.Violet turned around and looked at him."What did you say? You want to please your Alpha over me?" she asked with a cold tone.Everyone in the lobby lower
Violet felt her blood boil inside her. She stood there frozen, recalling how she used to want this man to get closer to her like this. But he always behaved rudely with her. She was just a tool for him.She realized the nights she had spent with him in the past were never filled with love but with his inner laugh for making a fool of her.Leo leaned down and came close to her neck. His chin touched her shoulder as he said,"I missed you, Luna."As soon as she heard him, her eyes flickered blue for a second, which he did not notice. Her lips twisted into a smirk as she spoke, "Really?"Leo tilted his head to look at her face. Her beautiful face looked elegant. He realized his wife had turned more beautiful than her young age. He realized it when he met her in the Scarlet Howl Pack. That was the night he decided to return and stop the engagement that his mother planned for her."Of course," Leo said, gazing at her.Violet turned her chair, and her face got close to his. He blinked when
All the people were stunned when they heard Violet. However, they realized that she did not want to continue any rivalry with Alpha Daniel, which was good for their pack. They nodded their heads. Violet pushed the mic away and said,"The conference is over here. You all can leave now."Leo was surprised to see how Violet just discarded anyone after saying what she wanted. His brows furrowed tightly. He did not like how she wanted to continue the alliance with Daniel. However, it was good for him that Daniel would not come after him. The partnership contract year would give him and the pack safety everywhere.Violet got up from the chair. Seeing her standing up, everyone got up from their chairs and bowed to her.Leo had seen in photos and videos that she had changed and ruled well. But seeing how his own people were bowing to her with respect, he felt envious of his Luna.Violet glanced at Alpha Wesley, who was still sitting on the chair."Dad, I need to talk to you."Alpha Wesley rai
