Chapter  3  My enemy is my mate

Chapter  3  My enemy is my mate

I was ready to start my first day of training, but I was nervous. Who would be that alpha, my mate? I hope this bracelet works, or I don't know what I will do.

I went to the training camp and took my place on the front line. My brother, our beta, was giving his speech.

“Be prepared because we will see your skills and weaknesses. We will not hesitate to eliminate you if you are not up to our expectations; our warriors must be the best.” Said, my brother.

"yes, beta," we all said in unison.

"You will be placed in pairs to perform the fights in your human form. We still won't start with our wolves until we are clear about their weaknesses".

"Dominik, you will be with Alania; I expect a great fight between you," said my brother looking at me.

"You are Alania' said Dominik sneering and looking at me from head to toe.

"Some problem," I said as I stood in front of him, I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of challenging me without suffering the consequences.

“I wondered who the child prodigy was, and I see you have grown into a beautiful woman.  It would be a shame to damage that beautiful smile on your face,” he said, smiling sarcastically.

"And who said you would manage to land a single blow on me," I said, challenging him.

"No wolf has challenged me without suffering the consequences. I'm so sorry to be the one to expose your weaknesses in front of everyone, but someone had to do it sooner or later," I said, smiling.

No one in our pack has seen what I am capable of, and this was the best time to show them that I am not willing to put up with anyone messing with me, Luna or not, they will have to respect me.

Not because she was beta Wilson's daughter or beta Ivan's sister, but because she was Alania, the silver wolf.

"Begin," said Ivan.

Dominik started walking in a circle and trying to hunt me.  Which was a big mistake; waiting for my attack, I knew he would make the first move, and I waited patiently for him.

"I'll give you the advantage, little wolf; I don't want to hurt you," said Dominik.

"Thanks, but I'd rather give you the advantage. You're going to need it after looking like an idiot and being beaten by a girl," he said smiling, and that was enough for him to throw himself against me.

Dominik threw a punch to my face, and I dodged it, pushing him aside. He tried to connect another one to my stomach, and I also avoided it, pushing him with my hands.

I could see Dominik's face was furious, and he gave a spin kick towards me. Still, my speed was more effective. I ducked, and with my leg extended, I hit his supporting leg, and he fell to the ground.

I took a few steps, waiting for him to get up. He ran towards me and placed his hand on my shoulders, but I managed to grab his left hand, and with a twist, I managed to throw him to the ground again.

I walked a few steps back to give him space to get up. I could see how furious he was already because he had been able to connect any blow. I waited for the exact moment, and it had arrived.

I turned in the air and fell, connecting a kick on his back and making him fall to the ground. Immediately I gave him a blow in the abdomen with my knee while he was on the floor.

When she tried to get up only my arm around her neck, she had no choice but to surrender.

I walked away and extended my hand to help him up; he accepted. When he got up, he stood in front of me.

He said, "Damn woman, you are fearsome. I know why they call you the prodigy. It will be an honor for me to train and learn from the best" he bowed his head, giving me a bow as a sign of respect and submission.

"And it will be an honor for me to train with the best warrior in our pack," I said, smiling and giving him a slight tap on the shoulder.

"Let's continue," said Dominik as he got into position again; as we fought, I could feel someone's gaze on me. As I walked to change position, I raised my head, and that's when I saw him.

"Fighting with you will bring me fame; even our alpha is watching us," Dominik said.

"Alpha," I said, surprised and worried.

"Yes, towards your right, that's our alpha Hense; he just came back from his trip and is watching our training."

My breathing started to become more agitated "mate, mate, go towards mate," Kayla was saying in my mind.

"She's crazy to stop saying that; even if I didn't have complete control over you, you would have already ratted us out. Behave yourself, Kayla, or I will never let you out again," I said to my wolf. I could feel her anger for not letting her near our mate.

The training ended, and I headed towards the packhouse when my brother approached me.  "I'm impressed Aly, I knew what to expect from you, but you have improved and exceeded my expectations," Ivan said.

"I think you exaggerate; Dominik is an excellent warrior. I think he was somewhat consistent with me," I said, trying to minimize his comments.

“ Dominik was fighting, as usual, giving his best effort. Being out top warrior  he must be, or he would be a bad example for the recruits, and I wouldn't allow that, and he knows it.”

My heart began to pound, and I tried to calm down. When I turned my gaze and saw Hansen, the most handsome man I had ever seen in my life, tall with dark hair and tattoos on his arms, I could see one that stood out more than the others. It was a wolf on the right side of his chest.

"Aly do you remember Hansen?" said my brother.

"I don't remember him very well.  I was practically a little girl when he went off to college. He was always hanging out with women who weren't exactly his mate," I said, not giving his presence any importance.

" Auch, I guess I deserve that; nice to meet you too, Aly," he said, looking at me.

"Alania," my brother said.

"Aly let's go shopping, and you are going with me," said Lexie.

"You will go alone; I can go with you," Ivan mentioned staring at Lexie.

"No need. We won't be long," I replied with a smile.

At the mall

"Aly, what a nice bracelet. I hadn't seen it on you," said Lexie.

"Thanks, it was a gift from Elena, a friend of mine," I said nervously.

"You don't have to lie with me, and I want you to be my best friend; the truth is I don't have anyone to talk to, and you are like a sister to me," Lexie mentioned.

"I want us to be good friends too; all these years, I missed my family a lot; I had my uncle and Elena, but now I'm glad to have you around, Lexie," I said smiling.

"I noticed that when you arrived, you didn't have it, and now you don't take it off at all; by any chance, Elena is a witch?" said Lexie smiling and waiting for my answer.
