The photographers went crazy taking as many photos as they could. A renowned entertainment reporter who got in with ease raised her voice so she could be heard while broadcasting. "I'm Katherine from Air TV, tonight we're just outside the wedding reception hall of the hottest bachelor and one of the youngest most successful men alive, Joe Anderson and his bride Chloe who as of yesterday was still a local journalist, the union between these to proves that love conquers all, even backgrounds." She reported, it was a public display of hate but no one questioned her or criticised her because she was not alone.

Despite their mockery outside, inside the hall was the sound of heavy music playing and cheering from the crowd as a couple danced happily to fast jazz music.

The groom swept the dance floor with moves, circling around his bride who couldn't contain her laughter from happiness as she danced as well, beaming with joy as the happiest bride on earth.

Whispers kept flying in the air as the people commented on their match, and behind the crowd was a small set of women gathered together who frowned as they watched from the open space. "Tch!" A woman sighed. She amongst the five other women was more elegant than the rest, "of all people, it had to be that girl, that poor, lowly journalist, what an abomination.'' She murmured.

"If you were so against it Sonia then why did you let your son marry such a woman." Her friend said Sonia immediately glared at her with irritation but then sighs.

"How could we, after all the effort we put to raising him, he threatened to cut ties with us and to make matters worse he offered the position we've worked so hard to safekeep for him to his bride for nomination, had we not agreed he would have gotten married to her with or without us." Expressing her discontent, she caresses her temples, sighed three times and drank a glass of water. She knew they had eyes on her son for their daughters but at this point there was nothing she could do as they were already married.

Just as she finished her glass of water, the music ended and the crowd cheered louder than before, most of them retiring to their seats. Sonia and her friends, though annoyed and bitter, clapped in joy and pretence, going over to hand gifts and wish the couple happiness while wearing a mask and soon the reception was over.

Thump!

The shoes landed right after they were thrown in the air off Chloe's feet. She spread her arms and crashed on the bed as it creaked. "God, I'm so exhausted." She said with a sigh. "I thought I was gonna die, how could one's wedding be so exhausting." She sat up, rubbing her feet with her hand. "My feet are so sore."

As she complained, large hands held onto her feet, as he kneeled next to her, placing her feet on his thigh and massaged them. "You should have told me then I would have gotten you something else." A handsome face looked up to her with a smile, "is this okay Chloe?" Her cheeks flushed red, she couldn't help but blush from the face and action of the man before her, she knew she did not deserve him.

She nods at him, and holds on to his shoulder raising her eyebrow with a grin on her face, "so, do I call you Dear or Honey from now on?"

"Anytime sounds cute if it's you." Joe smiled brightly, overshadowing her own smile that it was blinding. He let's her feet down, "there's wine, so why don't we make a toast." He says Chloe delightedly began to undress to avoid getting wine on it eventually as Joe opened the bottle of red wine. By the time he could turn around, he found his wife trying to undress. "You know it's my job to take off your wedding dress." He said as he handed over the glass of wine.

She could hardly finish her glass when she felt his warm breath on her neck. "But, I'm not finished yet."

"It's not meant to be finished, besides I'm only helping you take off your wedding dress, Mrs. Joe.'' Her ears turned red from embarrassment, she was going to have her first time with her husband, the man she loved, her heart beats fast regardless of how hard she tried to remain calm.

        "I'm not sure I understand."

"Then how about I teach you," he turned her around to face him, taking the glass and putting it away so it would not get between them. "You, out your arms around me and…" Without completing the last statement, their meets met with a hot, passionate kiss, Joe reached for her zipper, slowly unzipping till her dress came loose, revealing her sexy transparent inner wears. He picked her from the waist and carried her into the bed for they had a long night ahead of them.

At around 4am in the morning, siren sounds grew louder as they drove into the same hotel where the couple resides. The footsteps of marching men also grew louder as they flooded the building. An officer walked towards the receptionist and showed an ID. "Police, which room is Joe Anderson in?" He questioned. The receptionist gave him the room number and they hurried up into the penthouse and knocked heavily at the door.

The couple inside who began to awake were startled. Chloe woke first and then Joe followed, asking his wife to go back to bed as he went to answer the door. The police flash his ID at Joe's face. "Joe, I'm Frank, an officer. I'm sorry but you're gonna have to come with us for questioning concerning a couple of evidence found against you with involvement in illegal activities, it'd be best if you cooperate with us, if found innocent you will be free and returned home safely." The man said.

Chloe, who failed to return to bed, heard of this and rushed out of the bedroom. "No." She screamed. "He's innocent. He would never."

Joe, confused but composed, asked for some time, his wife embraced him with all her heart and sadness, she who had just found happiness was not willing to let go. "Hey, Mrs Joe." He first teased her. "It's okay, you heard them right, I'm sure I'm innocent, it's just for questioning, they'll see that I'm innocent and set me free. I'll be back soon dear." It was the first time he had addressed her as Dear, and yet she felt like it was going to be their last. As her husband walked with them, she watched behind till they were out of sight and then wore a robe and chased after them, calling out to her husband.

"Madam." The staff ran after Chloe who had great speed, by the time she reached him she was stopped from going any further. Her tears flowed like a fountain while the staff did everything to hold her back.

"Don't go. Don't leave me." She cried, but Joe only looked back at her one last time with a smile and continued leaving her with despair.

The siren's echoes once again through the streets, waking up the once sleepy neighbourhood however right opposite the hotel where Chloe was, watched a fine, handsome man whose looks were only second if not on par with Joe's. He looked outside at the scene, watching everything happen from his penthouse office. His right fist tightly clenched his phone and his veins began to show. But then he smiles even in his anger like a devil.
