When Aser told Cassie he could help her with her revenge plans, something in her eyes sparked, and her whole being seemed to come alive. He could see the gears turning in her pretty little head as she thought about more than a hundred ways to make Cane suffer. Aser knew she wanted to learn what their connection was, but it had taken a backseat in her mind.

That was what he wanted all along.

He wanted her to completely focus on the future and stop dwelling on the past. She would get a chance to revisit her past later, but that time was not now.

"Alpha Aser..."

"Aser," he corrected her again.

"Thank you for doing this. I will be sure to pay you back in one way or the other." Aser wanted to tell her that there was no need. He was doing this because he owed her. He was doing this because he felt responsible for her. She could use him for as long as she wanted and any way she wanted. She had saved him all those years ago, unknowingly, and this was his chance to pay her back.
