I Can't Fuck This Up

Azriel's POV

“Take care of him! It must not exceed tonight!” A familiar voice made me turn. “If it exceeds today, I will make both you and your family pay for it!”

I smiled faintly when my gaze landed on Dave from the corner where I stood. Given what he did to Lyria earlier, I wanted to snap his neck out.

I held back the urge not to do something that would paint me in a negative light more than the way others see me.

Our pack needs Bloodcircle’s money and resources for sustainability, while they need our Gammas for protection.

I can't fuck that up.

“Dave, it is time,” a feminine voice echoed from the direction Dave stood. “She is drunk now. All you have to do is walk into that room—”

“I doubt if that would work,” Dave said, staring at the lady with quite a romantic look on his face.

She must be the lady Lyria talked about.

What am I even doing?

Without thinking twice, I turned to walk away, but Ariana’s words made me halt.

“Look, Lyria would not be able to fight the urge. She is a mess; in fact, if she doesn't have you, she might die.”

Before I could close up the space between us, her voice echoed again. “Now is your time. I already set a camera there; all you have to do is be there and give her what she needs. That whore would be rejected by Wave pack.”

“Once you are done with her, her husband and her father and even every member of this pack would be ashamed of her. They would finally see her for the whore she—”

Before she could complete her statement, I punched Dave. I punched him twice before he could retaliate.

“You—how dare you!” My blood boiled with anger as I punched him to pulp, his face all injured and stained with blood.

If she didn't have you, she would die…

I let go of the bastard the moment Ariana's words echoed in my head. I hurried down to the living room where everyone was dancing, not sure if I would find her there.

The moment I recalled Ariana mentioning a room, I headed off to the floor where the rooms were.

I searched each room, not caring if I was trespassing. All I could think of was saving Lyria.

I searched about five rooms but couldn't find her. I stood still, staring at nowhere in particular.

I don't know where to look at anymore or which direction to go… and I can't give up!

I can't have her mess this alliance!

“Alpha Azriel, sorry, what are you looking for here?”

“And who are you?” I asked, ignoring her question.

“I am sorry; I am Cassandra, Princess Lyria's personal maid.”

“Take me to Lyria's room!” I instructed sharply. “Now!” I added.

I have to be fast about it. I am battling against time right now.

“You can leave,” I instructed the moment she took me to Lyria's room, which was the last room on the floor.

I hurried in, my gaze searching the room for Lyria. My heart skipped when I lowered my gaze to see Lyria by the bedside, her fingers scratching the ground, her exposed skin pale with red spots.

I squatted, about to carry her out of the room, but her touch made me stop.

Before I could think of what she was up to, I felt her hands moved to my face. “Alpha Azriel… my body… is… burning…” she stammered.

“Where exactly? I would—”

Lyria's lips on mine silenced me. I froze upon feeling her lips on mine.

It took me a few minutes before I could realize what was happening here because the Lyria I knew disliked me.

Her drink was spiked.

“Pull yourself together! You are drunk!” I shouted at her after I managed to pull her away.

Even though it made no sense, my wolf was growling inside me. This was the first time in three years my wolf was going to react after going into hibernation for three years now.

“I am… I… don't know…” she stammered, her voice inaudible. “My… body… hurts… it hurts…”

“I would take you to the hospital—”

She crashed her lips on mine before I could complete my words. This time she wrapped her hands tightly around my neck, making it hard for me to pull away.

She deepened the kiss, breaking down every urge I had in me to fight. To pull her away.

I don't know what came over me, but I found myself leaning in, my wolf prompting me to go further than this.

This was wrong! If for one thing, Lyria was drunk! Damn… She is not my mate to begin with!

Sniffing in her pheromones, which were all over the room, I realize why my wolf was reacting, it became obvious what this was.

That bitch added heat inducer into Lyria's drink!

“You are in heat,” I informed her after I managed to pull her away. As much as it was hard, the last thing I wanted to do was to take advantage of her.

“No… I can't be… I am… wolfless…”

“Can you just shut the fuck up and let me think of what to do?” I shouted, hoping she would be reasonable!

Our marriage was solely for alliance. I can't have that get ruined…

“Don’t think… just… just quench this… this fire,” she stammered, her golden crystal eyes piercing through me. “Please…

Dave's POV“When I said Alpha Azriel was the one behind all of this, poor Lyria said her husband was with her that night,” I paused, staring at the pack's elders who had confirmed the burndown. Now everything is finally falling in place. Too bad Lyria had to force me into doing this.Soon enough, after I get the news of Alpha Xavier's death, I will be the only one eligible to become the pack's Alpha. After all, Alpha Xavier has no son.“I thought she would have at least seen the vivid manipulation. Alpha Xavier almost died on her wedding night,” I paused, faking a tear. “If only she hadn't given in to Alpha Azriel’s deceit and agreed to marry me when as planned, an intruder wouldn't have caused us this much damage.”“Dave, this isn't the time for all this talk. Drop women's talks and let's move ahead. Our pack is weak and we need someone to rule us temporarily until Alpha Xavier wakes up,” Elder Thorne said, already convinced.I am glad I decided to let Lyria go instead of having her

  • I Do: Marrying My Ex-husband's Rival After Rebirth    Healed Wound

Lyria's POV What in the moon goddess was that? Embarrassment washed over me when I remembered everything I did and how I threw myself at Alpha Azriel. I was clearly not drunk this time, but it just felt different. It was as if I was under some influence, my body going against my own wish. “Luna Lyria, you are awake,” Cassandra's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. “I told you to let the guards follow you, but you didn't agree. You almost die… what could have happened if Alpha Azriel or I wasn't there on time?” Before I could reply, Cassandra continued. “How did you even get there? Who did that to you?” I took in a deep breath, not sure if there was any need to tell her. My father is on the verge of dying, and the least I could do is bring another worry. My number one worry right now is to avoid meeting the same fate like I once did at Dave's hand and finding the one who tried to kill my father. “Cassandra, can you get the car ready? I am visiting the hospital to see how my fa

Dave's POV:“Wait, did you just say you set the house on fire with Lyria in there?” Ariana asked, staring at me like she doesn't know the length I could go.I have come too far to give up on this. The baby in her womb, my pup, would have to be the next Alpha. That was all I have been living for.Being the Gamma's son is something I never wanted! I didn't ask to be born as an Alpha son when I could be the Alpha's heir. The same fate is what I won't let my pup carry.“If her death would make me the next Alpha, why should I hesitate?” I asked, closing the gaps between us.I reached for Ariana's waist, holding her firmly, our body pressed against each other. “Lyria was adamant. She would rather have me whip her to death than marry her.”“But when did she have a change of mind? Everything was going smoothly, babe. Or did you in any way provoked her? She even knew about us—”I did not allow Ariana go on with what we are obviously over. Not when the doctor said she needed not to be stressed

I am not supposed to indulge her.We made the reason we got married clear! And I didn't drive all the way from my pack down to Bluemoon for a five-minute kiss! Definitely not from someone like Lyria. All through the ride, I made sure not to look at her even though I was hearing what sounded like moans and the strong scents from her pheromones pulling me in.It was hard, but I eventually did it.I pulled over in the garage of one of the most secretive hotels. It was the hotel I stayed in on my arrival to the wedding I never knew was going to be mine.I opened the car, then arranged the suit jacket to cover her chest properly. Why is her skin d

AZRIEL POV“With the silver wolf you are going to be powerful. Everything you needed would be all yours, Prince Luca.”I halted, standing at the entrance of my brother's room. Since my Beta was out of pack as well, he was the next person in charge.“Look for her! No matter what it cost me, I would pay,” Luca instructed the man who bowed down before turning to leave. He quickly hurried out the moment his gaze met mine. Luca, who just noticed my presence, has his gaze fixed on me.“I heard you got married,” Luca said. “I thought you were going to stay with your wife there since you and your Beta abandoned everyone and the pack’s affair to just me.”“Luca, I didn't abandon the pack,” even though it was of no use explaining to someone who sees me as nothing but a rival, I continued. “We need Bluemoon Pack's money to get everything we needed to sustain this pack. Our strong Gammas and guards won't give us—”“That is all the reason for you to give up, brother!” He half-yelled, staring at me
