Meanwhile, in Ashley's resting room behind the café, an injured Daniel was all dressed up and was ready to leave quietly. Judging from his agility, it seems like he was pretending to be critically injured – he was still leaping a bit, though.

But just when he was about jumping through the only window in the room, his body stilled as his ears caught Ashley's conversation with her friend on the phone, then he felt guilty for wanting to leave without thanking her for saving his life.

He quickly retreated from the window and sat on the bed. Reaching in the inner pockets of his jacket, he pulled out his mobile phone and dialed a number, then waited impatiently for the receiver to pick up.

“Hello?” the receiver finally picked up after a few rings.

“Nathan” he called quietly.

There was a brief pause. “Boss?” the receiver (now known as Nathan) called in a surprised, and somewhat relieved tone. “Where are you, boss?” he asked.
