Chapter 26 Her Gamble

Already dressed in her usual night dress, except tonight she wore a flimsy panty, she went out to find Luther already lying on the bed with closed eyes. Though she is sure he is still awake.

She quietly walks to her side of the bed and lay down, trying not to disturb him. After she got settled, she stayed unmoving while staring at the ceiling. Unlike last night, it felt odd having someone in her bed.

She is too preoccupied with her thoughts when suddenly a hand wrapped around her waist and she was pulled to a hard chest.

"Luther..." she immediately felt anxious.

"I know you are still tender. We will just sleep" he casually mumbles while finding the most comfortable position for both of them. With his arms wrapped around her slender body and his face buried in her hair, she heard him heave a sigh.
