Adrian commented, “Evelyn, Liam only wants to see you. You don't have to bring him along. What's wrong? Don’t you want to see Liam? He's your son!”

Well, it looks like his attitude is still caustic, after all.

Sure enough, Adrian's mood had soured. A moment ago, he was speaking civilly but now he was making unreasonable accusations. It was truly annoying.

“Why would you say something stupid like that, Adrian? I had already agreed to go see him. You’d better not cause trouble. I don’t have any patience for your theatrics right now,” I warned.

He looked surprised, and kept quiet for a moment. But soon enough, he frowned and said, “But I can tell you’re unwilling to see him. It’s not like I’m forcing you.”

Adrian narrowed his eyes and carried on. “Evelyn, Liam is your son. That little girl you’re concerned about is no blood relation to you. So, who’s more important, huh?”
