24. Jobless Again
"Not now! Why is this happening to us? That is my payment for my hard work. They can't just do this to me! I will have to meet him." She said and was about to go to Asher's office when she remembered what he said to her if she will get back and see her face.
"No. I think I can't go. I don't want to go to jail. I don't want to get embarrassed in front of my daughter." She said to herself and decided to go back home empty-handed.
She has only fifty dollars left in her wallet. She wipes the sweats on her forehead to think that she will go to be jobless again. If she can turn back the time that night, she would have refused the drinks they gave to her. What she did that night was so careless and lame.
She took a deep breath and looked up at the clear blue sky. She's hoping that she will get lucky again. While waiting in the cab, she heard her phone rings so she quickly took it from her bag and check who was calling.
