35. Pre-Wedding Check

The incident that brought Evelyn together with Malvin by accident really shook Evelyn. The news of their marriage had hurt her enough, however, she could have handled it if only Malvin hadn't come out of the blue.

Their encounter seemed to reveal an old wound that Evelyn had worked so hard to treat.

Alex was just silent because he couldn't do anything about it. He just kept trying to be by Evelyn's side and hug her.

Malvin had all the facts. Alex thought that if he were in Malvin's place, he would continue to fight for Evelyn.

However, Alex had no idea what Malvin was thinking, and what he was going to do. Alex can only guess and prepare himself for what will happen next.

That night, Evelyn fell back asleep in Alex's arms, she was too tired to cry. During the day after just leaving Jenifer's house, the two of them stay at a hotel not far from Jenifer's house.

Alex couldn't bear to let Evelyn cry, so he decided to let Evelyn rest at the hotel
