XARION'S POV

I’m leaning against the side of my car in the underground parking garage beneath the pack house, my hands braced on the hood, trying to get my breathing under control.

But I can't when all I can think about is Megan.

The taste of her lips when I kissed her. The way she kissed me back, even if it was only for a moment. The heat of her body pressed against mine.

Goddess.

I close my eyes, letting my head fall back as I exhale sharply.

I kissed her.

I actually kissed her. Again.

And for one perfect, reckless second, she kissed me back.

My wolf is going absolutely feral inside me, pacing and snarling with satisfaction.

'Ours,' he growls possessively. 'She's ours. She kissed us back. She still wants us.'

"I know," I mutter under my breath, running a hand through my hair. "I know."

But then she shoved me away.

The memory of her furious expression and the way her eyes flashed with anger and hurt, makes my heart clench.

I shouldn't have done that.

I know I shouldn't have.

But when

  • I Need You, My Luna   CHAPTER 82

XARION'S POVI adjust my tie in the backseat of the car, checking my reflection in the window as my driver navigates through the city streets. The suit's perfectly tailored, jet black with subtle silver pinstripes, paired with a crisp white shirt and well-polished black leather shoes.I look good. Professional. Like an Alpha who knows exactly what he's doing.Even if, deep down, I'm not entirely sure this is the smartest move I've ever made."Are you sure about this?" Andrew's voice breaks through my thoughts from the passenger seat. He twists around to look at me, one eyebrow raised skeptically. "You're really going to show up at Stone Corporation's branch launch? Your competition?""Yes," I reply simply, brushing down the front of my jacket."Xarion," he presses, his tone more pointed now. "This is literally a celebration for a company that would now be eating into your market share. You do realize how this looks, right?""I don't care how it looks," I counter evenly, meeting his ey

MEGAN'S POVThe minutes tick by, and I find myself glancing at the entrance more and more frequently.Ten minutes past the official start time. Then fifteen. Then forty. And still, no one's arrived."Where is everyone?" I mutter under my breath, my pulse starting to quicken.Caitlin's beside me, her tablet in her hand, scrolling through the guest list. "I don't know, ma'am. Everyone's confirmed. They should be here by now.""Maybe traffic?" Vance suggests, though his tone lacks conviction."At this hour?" I counter, shaking my head. "No. Something's wrong."Alpha Elias steps closer, his expression turning serious. "Megan, take a breath. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation."But I can see the concern in his eyes too.Because this isn't normal.Seventy confirmed guests, and not a single one has shown up?That doesn't just happen. My hands curl into fists at my sides, and I force myself to stay calm even though my heart's pounding now."Caitlin, call some of the guests," I instruct

  • I Need You, My Luna   CHAPTER 80

MEGAN'S POVThree months. It's been three months since the attack on my home, and standing here in this immaculate venue, surrounded by clean crystal floors and windows that look out over the city, it's almost hard to believe any of that even happened.Almost.But not quite.Even though they caught the bastard responsible, Cassius Blackthorn, there's still a part of me that can't fully let it go.I remember the day Xarion called to tell me they'd arrested him. The relief that flooded through me was overwhelming, like I could finally breathe again after days of looking over my shoulder.Cassius confessed to everything. Sending the rogues to my house. Orchestrating the attack at Prime Build Supply.Everything.Except the car accident. He swore up and down he had nothing to do with that, and when they pressed him on why he targeted me in the first place, his excuse was… weird.Vague.Something about being paid by someone who had a grudge, but he refused to name names. Said he didn't know

DANIELLE'S POVI nod, forcing another smile even though I want to scream.Patience.Easy for him to say when he's not the one watching the man he loves slip further and further away.We finish the rest of our meal in relative silence, the conversation drifting to trivial topics I couldn't care less about.By the time Wilson finally stands to leave, I'm more than ready to get the hell out of here."I'll be in touch," he announces, adjusting his suit jacket. "And remember, Danielle. Don't do anything rash. Let me handle this.""Of course," I reply smoothly. "I trust you."He gives me one last approving nod before turning and walking out of the restaurant, leaving me alone at the table. The second he's out of sight, my fake smile drops.Useless.That's what he is.Wilson's absolutely useless. For all his talk about strategy and patience, Wilson hasn't done a damn thing to actually help me get Xarion back. He's too busy protecting his own reputation.I'd been watching him carefully tonigh

  • I Need You, My Luna   CHAPTER 77

DANIELLE'S POVThe restaurant Wilson chose is ridiculously upscale, the kind of place where even the water costs more than most people's meals.Crystal chandeliers hang from vaulted ceilings, soft classical music plays softly through the air, and every table is covered in pristine white linen. It's private, exclusive, and perfect for the kind of conversation we're about to have.I sit across from Wilson at a corner table set away from prying eyes, my hands folded neatly in my lap, my posture poised and composed. But inside? I'm seething.Because despite all of Wilson's grand promises and reassurances, nothing has changed.Xarion's still obsessed with Megan. The twins are still in the picture. And I'm still sitting here, waiting for something, anything, to turn in my favor.Wilson leans back in his chair, swirling the expensive scotch in his glass, his expression calm and collected like he doesn't have a care in the world."Patience, Danielle," he murmurs, his tone steady. "That's the
