“Are you sure that stupid bitch won’t wake up until tomorrow? I don’t want any flaws in this plan, Matteo. Alpha Hunter is returning tomorrow. I want him to see his luna wrecked.”
“The potion I used on Selina is highly recommended from the black market. Rest assured, Miss Agatha. After tomorrow, the Alpha will not recognize Selina as his luna anymore. Soon, you are going to become the Silver Moon’s new luna.”
My head throbbed. Memories of me collapsing after drinking a tonic brought by the servant crossed my mind as the conversation of a man and woman nearby flowed in my head. After a while, my eyes widened. Wait. Servant? Tonic? What the heck? That certainly was not my memory and where was I?
What happened to the senator? Was he safe? Were the assassins caught?
As for me, for some reason, I didn’t feel any pain anywhere in my body other than my pounding head which was strange. I was shot. I could still remember the pain in the back of my neck, in my thigh, and my left arm. How was I still fine after all that?
I blinked and was surprised to find out that my eyesight was clear even in the dark. I was in an unfamiliar room. It certainly was not the hospital based on the décor. And wait. Was that real wolf head hanging in the center of the room? The dark sheets, carpet, and the curtains all indicated that whoever was staying in this unbelievably massive room was a man.
A phone ringing from somewhere caught my attention. It came from one of the two figures standing in the doorway, their backs were on me.
The blonde woman gasped as she answered the call. “What? Alpha Hunter just passed through the gates? How could that happen? Why is he here now? He was supposed to return tomorrow!”
I frowned. Alpha? Hunter? For some reason, the term and the name were familiar. I gripped my head. More images flashed in my mind, images of someone who looked exactly like me. Long reddish-brown hair, light brown eyes, slender build, and pale skin.
Selina Blackwell.
That was her name. She was the luna of her pack and she was married to Hunter Blackwell, the alpha of one of the most powerful packs in the realm. The two were only forced to marry each other. The terms were not that hard to grasp.
Because due to some god or goddess’ nasty trick, I possessed the body of the luna who was labeled as ‘beauty-fool’ by everyone in her pack. A beauty and a fool. Three years after marriage and everyone still looked down on her because she was weak and had no wolf.
So, how could I explain this monstrous red wolf staring back at me when I closed my eyes? She was… inside me, rising within me, something that Selina seemed to have never seen before. I could even hear her breathing from within me. But how?
“The gem,” the beast growled. There were big, heavy chains wrapped around her body. “Take it off! It’s restraining us!”
What the hell? The wolf could speak? I had Selina’s memories and that did not include anything about this wolf.
What gem was she talking about? I opened my eyes and scanned my body. The only thing I was wearing was a plain wedding band and a necklace that had a dark tear-drop pendant, a gift for Selina by her father, something she treasured so much even if that greedy bastard handed her to Hunter for his own political gain.
But I could not take it off. The more I struggled, the more it seemed to tighten around my neck. What the heck was it?
“For the King’s birthday party?” the woman on the phone exclaimed. “His Majesty demanded Alpha Hunter to bring his Luna? But I was supposed to be the one to represent the pack tonight! You are not sure? Then find out, you moron! Call me as soon as you have the answer!”
That was Agatha, Hunter’s childhood friend who had been obsessed with him for the longest time. Stronger than Selina that’s why everyone thought she was more worthy to be their luna. She and her minions taunted and embarrassed Selina every chance she got.
But that was going to stop today. For some sick twist of fate, I was given a second chance to live. And I will not waste it being played around by these people.
“Matteo, do it now. I will personally accompany the alpha to this room later. Wait for my signal. You can’t afford any mistake, got it? I’ve waited so long for this.”
“Understood, Miss Agatha,” Matteo, Agatha’s guard, answered. “Or should I call you ‘Luna’ from now on?”
The two laughed as they shut the door. My head kept pounding hard. As quietly as possible, I rose on the bed, shook my head when the pounding continued, and grabbed the dagger on the bedside table. I stabbed it in my leg. The pain helped distract my new body. If I didn’t do that, I would have collapsed and fallen asleep.
I cut the hem of my dress and used it to tie my leg before trying to take the damn necklace off with my still bloody hand. To my surprise, the pendant reacted to my blood. It shattered. I saw the wolf in me rising, her shackles now removed, as she roared.
She was free and so was I. Because as soon as it shattered, my wound healed. The pain in my head disappeared. My body felt as good as new. I felt lighter. So, Selina had a wolf all along and she didn’t know about it? She had that stupid necklace when she was still a baby.
When the door opened, Matteo entered, whistling, as I hid behind the thick curtains. Maybe because of the changes in my body, I could also see his wolf now. It was as dark as his soul.
“I’ve been dying to have a taste of you, Selina,” he whispered in the dark, licking his upper lip, while stripping. “If you weren’t wolf-less and weak, I would have taken you as my mistress a long time ago. It doesn’t matter now. I will have you all to myself tonight.”
Matteo stepped towards the bed and eagerly pulled out the blanket, exposing the pillows I hid behind it.
“Selina!” he growled.
Anger buzzed beneath my skin. Selina was timid and weak but not by choice. If my hunch was right, someone purposely caged her wolf through that cursed necklace.
‘Moon Goddess! I’m so tired!’ In my head, I could still hear her begging, her voice cracking, as she looked up at the sky after drinking the tonic that instantly made her knees weak. ‘If you are listening, please free me from this misery! I can’t take this anymore!’
I trembled at the memory. So, their goddess freed Selina from misery and trapped me here instead? Now I was no longer sure if this was another life or another hell. My first day in this world and I already had to face these kinds of people? Their moon goddess sucked. Big time.
“Selina, I can smell you. I know you’re still here. If you show up, I promise I won’t make this too hard for you. I’ll try to finish in three rounds.” He chuckled. “Come out now, kitten. Don’t make me angry or you won’t like the consequences. Where are you?”
“Right here,” I answered and patted his shoulder. When he turned, I slammed my fist across his jaw. The wolf within me was livid. Each punch was more brutal than the first. I had never felt such overwhelming strength and power before.
“H-how are you this strong?” Matteo asked, his eyes widened, as he fell on the floor, his two front teeth now missing.
I had dealt with bastards like him in my first life. If I had my gun, I’d have shot his cock that was no longer hard tonight. Luckily, I still had that dagger from earlier. I slammed it right between his legs to make sure he would not be able to use that disgusting thing ever again. A girly scream escaped his throat as he cried in agony.
“You bitch! You’ll pay for this!”
I ran to get Marie, the middle-aged maid who followed Selina in this pack, the only person in this town, in this world, who cared about her. The two of them stepped into this pack territory together. If I was going to leave, I’ll be taking her with me.
Because I had no plans of spending my life in this place a day longer. And I needed her guidance. She must know a way for me to return to my own world. I still needed to know if the senator’s assassins were caught.
But then Matteo was able to catch me in the hallway. His claws pierced my back. Wincing, I turned around and smashed my elbow into his face. He groaned, stepping backwards as he touched his bleeding nose.
“You wench! I swear I’m going to kill you-“
Before he could finish his sentence, I leaped through the air, wrapped my legs around his neck, and twisted it. He fell onto the tiled floor. Lucky for him, he passed out with only his naked back exposed.
“What the hell is going on here?”
That voice made my heart race. Or was it Selina’s heart? I turned around and saw a man with blue-green eyes, frowning at me. I’d met a lot of men in my world, but I’d never met anyone this intimidating. He was huge, about several inches taller. He had shoulder-length silver hair which matched the color of his wolf who was currently… wait. Was it howling at me? It sounded as if it was calling me.
The stranger would have looked like a modern-day prince if not for his bloody jacket, pants, and muddy boots. It was like he had just gone to war. I stepped closer to him, his frown deepening as he watched me like he was seeing me for the first time.
“Selina?”
Beside him, Agatha looked back and forth at Matteo and me, her jaw dropping, along with the servants behind them whose smiles dropped. “H-how could this happen? What did you do to him?”
I ignored her. I straightened my tattered dress and focused on the big guy instead. “Who are you? Are you my… husband?”
For some reason, the face of Selina’s alpha was the only one that was blurry in her memories which overlapped with mine. The servants gasped and stared at me like I’d gone mad.
The stranger’s eyes narrowed. “If this is another trick to get my attention-“
“Believe it or not, getting your attention is the last thing on my mind. My head is throbbing again, and my memories are a bit hazy right now. Just answer my question. It’s a simple yes or no. Are you my husband?”
“Drop the act, Selina. I have no time for this.” He sighed and massaged his forehead. “Fix yourself and come with me to the banquet. The Alpha King is expecting the two of us.”
“So, you are Hunter.” I smiled. “Good thing you are here. You just saved me the trouble. Let’s get a divorce.”
(Tanya)Hunter closed the door, trapping me in the room with him. He spun me around; my front was pressed against the door while his body was pressed against my back. Without warning, he buried his face in my throat, inhaling more of me. A deep, rough groan rumbled from his chest.“Let me go!”“Tell that to my wolf,” he whispered in my ear. “He doesn’t want to let go. You are the only thing he’s ever craved like this. What have you done to me, Selina? I want you. I can’t believe how much I do.”The spot between my thighs tingled at his words, releasing a thick, sweet scent. They called it pheromones. I was soaked. And he was hard.“I said let me go!” I said, my chest heaving. My entire body was warm. And I didn’t like this. I didn’t like how I was losing control of this body. I lifted the dagger that I was able to steal from Garrison’s waist when he passed by me earlier. I was going to be alone with their alpha. I could not risk coming here empty-handed. “Or I swear I’ll cut your fami
(Tanya)“Alpha, please forgive the Luna just this once. She’s not feeling well. She doesn’t know what she’s saying!” Marie pleaded after appearing out of nowhere. She was about to bend her knees in front of Hunter when I stopped her arm.Her eyes widened. “L-Luna?”“Don’t do this again, Marie. Never beg for me. While it’s true that I’m not feeling well, I meant every word I said.”Hunter smirked. “I handed you divorce papers many times, Selina, and each time, you either begged me to stop, or you pretended to be sick to avoid signing it and now this?”“Right,” Agatha butted in, crossing her arms over her chest. “Do you expect us to believe that you woke up one day and found yourself wanting a divorce?”“Shouldn’t you be happy I’m finally complying?” I glanced at Agatha. “Go get the divorce papers. I’m sure you have a copy of it somewhere. I’m going to sign it now.”Agatha didn’t need to be told twice. She dashed out of the hallway and into Hunter’s bedroom while her alpha stepped towar

(Tanya)“Let’s all give our beloved Senator a huge round of applause!”I stood behind Senator LeBlanc as we approached the stage. He smiled and waved at his supporters along with his family. As soon as he got to the center of the stage, the cheers grew louder. Most of the people in the town plaza raised their banners with his massive photo that said, ‘Happy Birthday, Our Future President!’ making his smile grow wider. They started singing a birthday song while his wife and children pushed the trolley that had a cake in it. While they all hugged as his family gave him their gifts, I felt the guards’ eyes drilling a hole in my back.I knew they had questions, ones I could never answer.Like why his other daughter was here and not in the center to celebrate with them, why even if I was also a LeBlanc, the senator never acknowledged me publicly as his daughter, and why I was invisible to him even if I was just a few feet away. Then again, I was the one who killed the woman Senator Marco L
